|Athena's POV|

When Sean sent me a text earlier telling me to return home as quickly as possible, I didn't know what to think.

I was at the racing club with Lea— we were kind of bonding. She was nice, like really nice. Half of the people working at the club were scared of her. Well, I would not blame them for she could be pretty scary when she wished to be. We even raced and I won the first round but she won the second one.

Then we decided to drink to our victory— just a little bit since neither of us wanted to get drunk. She told me about how her life was before and what happened after Vladimir decided to ruin everything, how she met Enzo, how they slept together, how she left, came back with Nick and then the rest is history.

As I walked into the large mansion, I was greeted with complete silence.

Didn't he tell me to come meet him as soon as possible? Then where the hell was he?

I thought he'd be sitting in the living room or something, waiting for me but he was nowhere in sight so I made my way upstairs, towards our room.

Yes, we shared a room. Since most of the nights we'd end up sleeping together, we figured it would be best if we had one room and I didn't mind. I loved Sean's company. Hell, I loved him. I loved everything about him. He was caring in his own ways and could be incredibly funny when he wanted to be.

Sean's always been there when I needed him. Everytime I'd wake up because of a nightmare, he'd wake up as well. He was a light sleeper. The slightest sound could wake him up. However, he never once complained that I was disturbing his sleep or anything. Instead, he would say things to me and help me sleep again. But thankfully, I haven't been getting these nightmares for a while now.

Snapping out of my little dream kinda shit world, my eyes fell on a dress lying on the bed with shoes and other matching things. It was an emerald green knee-length off-shoulder dress with butterflies scattered in some places.

I lifted it up and brought it closer to my eyes so I could take a better look at it. It was absolutely stunning. I looked beside the dress on the bed to find a matching pair of heels staring at me.

As if on cue, my phone beeped with a message, ‘put them on and come to the backyard. Don't take all your time, I'm not that patient.

I didn't bother to reply. I tossed my phone on the bed and began to get ready.

|Sean's POV|

I was nervous, anxious, stressed— literally any words that held similar meanings. This was the first time I was doing something like this; a date. A whole fucking set up... just to say the three words. I mean, how pathetic was that?

It sure did make me look like some crazy in love guy which I totally was. Honestly, Athena deserved the world. I was going to give her just that.

I made the whole arrangement in the backyard which was large as hell. I didn't want to go to some stupid restaurant or whatever. It wasn't safe, it never is. I know that I was being too paranoid but I didn't want to lose her, like ever. Public places were never really safe for people in this life yet they were willing to take certain risks. I was too— just not with this because I didn't want anything to go wrong. I wanted everything to go perfectly well, as planned.
