|Athena's POV|

The whole family waited with anticipation for Alessio and Thea to come out of the room. It had been almost thirty minutes.

I think they're making up for the lost time,’ Sean had whispered in my ear no longer than four minutes ago. I shook of the thought but now I was beginning to question whether he was actually right or not.

The silence was kind of depressing. It was like nobody knew what to say— or maybe nobody wanted to speak. I wouldn't blame them, they were all probably in shock. Even Maria joined us, leaving the kids in one of the rooms upstairs. She was informed of what has happened and hasn't said a word since.

I was truly unable to decipher the looks on the faces of everyone in front of me. They looked worried, happy and even scared for I didn't know what reason. However, my boyfriend, being the amazing person he was, was sitting on the table behind me with a bottle of wine in his hand as he chugged it down without a care.

"I can't believe it's gone," Blake decided to speak up making us all look at him with furrowed brows.

"Who?" Sean questioned to which Blake nodded in the direction of the entrance where lied the dead body of Elizabeth, "that."

Sean chuckled, shaking his head before he took another swing of his drink, "I'm so glad she's dead, I've never really liked her—" he bit his lip, realising his skip as his eyes darted to Lea who had her brows raised at his words. "I did not know that."

He signed, "I never said anything because she's your mom."

"Oh—" Lea was unable to finish her sentence since the door to the room where Alessio and Thea entered flung open and they walked out with smiles on their faces as they looked at each other and their hands interlocked.

"Well that's a good sign," Sean commented, getting off the table while Thea and Alessio made their way towards the rest of us. Sean flashed them a grin, "hey, lovebirds."

I narrowed my eyes at their appearance. Both their hairs were dishevelled, their lips were swollen and Thea's face was flushed. She has this smile on her face that made everything more obvious than it already was. "I'm guessing it went well in there."

"More than well judging by the looks of it," Sean added as he slightly rolled his eyes and teased them, "seriously, do you guys realise that we were waiting for you?"

"We were making up for the lost time," Alessio replied shamelessly making Thea cough, her face flushing redder than it already was. She was an assassin, one of the bests I knew and yet with Alessio, she was like a teenager crushing on someone for the first time and getting all shy and shit around said crush.

"Fred! Nick!" Izzy's voice caught the attention of all of us which made us look up to find Nick and Freddy running around, laughing as Izzy ran after them, "don't! Get back here! I'm supposed to look after you two! I hate you boys so much!"

"Leave us alone!" Freddy said as they kept running away from the girl.

"Don't make this harder than it should be!" Izzy shouted again as she kept chasing the two boys who was now running down the stairs, holding a doll in her hands. Creepiest thing man has ever made.

"That's enough," Arabella walked in front of them once they were downstairs and tried to stop the boys from going further but they dodged her and ran straight to Enzo who grabbed their arms and held them in place without much difficulty. They exchanged a look and rolled their eyes simultaneously.

"They ganged up against me and broke my doll!" Izzy complained to her mother, showing her the body of the headless doll in a hand and the legs of the doll in another. Arabella furrowed her brows, "where's the head?"
