|Athena's POV|

I stood in front of him, my heartbeat increasing with every passing second. Sean was silent. He was only staring at me, a certain look which I couldn't decipher in his eyes.

I was getting anxious, worried and scared. What could he possibly have to say to me that he had to take me outside where there weren't anyone?

Yes, I was scared that he was going to end things— did we even have a thing? Even if we didn't, for me, we did have. I've never been the way I was with Sean with anyone else.  He meant a lot to me. Hell, he meant everything to me. I did not want him to leave me— like ever. I did not know what I'd do if that was to happen. So yes, I did assume the worst first because bad things seemed to always happen to me. Maybe I was cursed or something.

"Sorry, I don't know where the fuck to start," he muttered with a small chuckle as he ran a hand through his hair. "This is harder than I thought."

He told me to not say anything so I didn't say a word but only waited for him to get on with it already.

What was he doing?

"Athena," he began making me bit back a smile. God, my name never sounded better. "You need to get a few things straight." I raised my brows at his commanding tone which he ignored, "first of all, you are not plain. You are the most beautiful, sexy, smart and amazing girl I've ever met— and I like every single thing about you."

My eyes widened slightly as my heart fluttered at his words. Did he seriously think that? That was hard to believe. But it seemed like he was telling the truth. So he did mean that. Where was he going with this

"You're perfect in every god damn sense and—" he paused, his eyes softening at he stared at me, taking a deep breath before continuing "— as unbelievably weird as it is, you mean everything to me."

"I—" he cut me off, "no, let me speak." Without giving me the chance to even nod, he continued, "you might not feel the same way about me and I totally get it. That's fine. I just wanted you to know this because someone— who's actually the last person from who I'd take an advice— told me that I should ‘fess up before some bad shit happens because you never know with this life. You should know that I've dated only one girl and she—" he took a deep breath, "— she fucked me up. I thought I'd— never be able to feel the same way about someone again but then you showed up and made everything so fucking easy. I know that we've known each other for a few months only and I don't care. I just needed you to—"

I cut him off by taking a few steps towards him, the heels making the whole thing easier as I placed my hand on the side of his neck and crashed my lips into his.

He wasted no time as his lips began moving against mine, in a more fierce way, his hand going to the side of my neck while the other one on my waist as he deepened the kiss.

"So I take it," he muttered as he broke the kiss, his face still close to mine, "you feel the same way?"

"And so much more," I whispered, breathless from the kiss, looking at him deep in the eyes as I said the next part,"you mean the world to me."

"We're being cheesy as fuck," he muttered, his smile still on his face and I couldn't help but chuckle, nodding in agreement, "we are. But that's all right."

"yeah, nobody has to know," he said to which I nodded before he leaned down and connected out lips on more time. This time, the kiss was soft and passionate. Our lips moved in sync together, my hands were playing with his hair. I couldn't care less that I was messing them up. He looked hotter with messy hair anyway.

We only broke the kiss when we were both out of breath. He leaned his forehead against mine as we regulated our breaths, his eyes were staring into mine. I offered him a smile, "wait, does that mean we are boyfriend and girlfriend now?"

"I suppose it does," he returned the smile, "we should get back inside, girlfriend. My spy's probably got intel by now."

"Who, Nick?" I raised my brows to which he nodded making me bite back a laugh, "so you were being serious about this whole spy thing. I thought you were just messing with him. He's just a kid."

"And they never suspect kids," he stated, grabbing my hand as we begin to walk back inside, "we've done this before. I've been training him— Nobody knows of course. Well, now except you."

"You've been training a five year old?"

"Hmm," he nodded as he joined the party once again, "he's a fast learner. And it's never too early. Besides, it's just a harmless little work. He'll thank me when he gets older."
