"You promised we would hang out today," I reminded Sean who was sitting across me with a table in between us. We were having breakfast.

"I don't remember promising anything," he took a bite of his croissant. Apparently, he ordered those earlier and he was kind enough to order for me too.

"I don't care whether you remember or not." I took a sip of my coffee, "you did promise so we are going out today— me and you. So you better be ready in an hour." He raised his brows and was about to say something but I didn't let him as I continued, "I've already planned everything we could do which includes going to an amusement park because why not?"

"Why not?" He repeated, rolling his eyes, "amusement parks are for kids. You're what, thirty?"

"I'm twenty." I stated, "I don't know about you but I am still young to have fun. However, I would completely understand if you feel like you're too old to have fun. I mean, you're forty after all."

"I'm twenty three." He shot me a bland look, "and I do want to have fun just not in an amusement park."

I raised my brows, lips twitching in amusement, "why, because it would ruin your whole cold mafia boss reputation?"

"No," He was quick to deny, "well yeah. You don't see someone like me playing around in a fucking park. I'm not a child."

"It's not like I'm telling you to go on the ferris wheel or water ride or something. We'll just walk around and find something interesting to do. But before that of course, we'll go shopping."

He signed, "you really woke up and decided to make my life a living hell, didn't you?"

"Yes," I nodded, standing up as I was done with breakfast, "and then to finish our day, we'll go to—" my sentence was cut off by the sound of Sean's phone which was on the table beside him going off.

I watched as he answered it and brought it to his right ear, "what's up?" After two seconds he spoke again, replying to whatever the person who called asked him, "— what? Who? Athena? No, I haven't seen her," he looked at me before adding, "have you checked the dumpster?"

Bitch.

"Yeah, okay I'll let you know if I find anything. Bye." Sean said and then disconnected the call. I raised my brows questioningly, "was that Alessio?"

He nodded, "yes, apparently you haven't been answering his calls or replying to his texts so he's dead worried about you."

"My phone's dead." I informed, internally groaning as I had forgotten to bring my charger.

"Ever heard of a charger?"

"I forgot to bring it."

"I've got mine," he stood up, "you could've asked. Anyway, if you wanna leave and go all tourist mode— however the shit you call that— we don't have all day. We are returning to America at ten tonight so hurry the fuck up."

"Can you go a day without using a bad word?" I asked out of genuine curiosity. He raised his brows at me, "of course. What kind of question is that?"

"Then do it."

"What?" He slid his phone in his pocket, "elaborate."

"I dare you to go a day without uttering a single bad word— like literally every bad word out there."

"That's easy," he smirked, "but what am I getting in return? Hmm?"

"I didn't think about that," I shrugged, "what would you want?"

"I'll let you know," he nodded towards the stairs, "now go get ready. We are leaving in thirty minutes."

"I said an hour."

"I'm saying thirty minutes." He retorted, beginning to walk away. He stopped and turned to look at me when I said, "I need time to get ready."

"I am giving you time." He shot back making me huff, "that's not enough."

"I'm sure you'll figure something out." He smirked and nodded mockingly, "I thought you were a smart girl, are you not?" Without giving me the chance to say anything else, he began walking away. Rolling my eyes, I made my way to my room.

After taking a quick shower, I slid a grey shirt and wore a pair of jeans along with my white sneakers. I tied my hair into a ponytail before grabbing my phone then made my way downstairs.

Sean was standing there, wearing a white shirt and ripped jeans along with sneakers as well— and of course, his silver rings on his fingers and a necklace which I noticed that he'd always have on around his neck. I raised my brows at his appearance, "so you don't wear only black. I thought you did."

"You took forty three minutes," he said, checking the watch on his wrist as he ignored my comment.

"It's only ten minutes," I rolled my eyes, walking up to him, "suck it up, you're not gonna die. So, where are we going first?"
