"I— what?" Jeremy sighed, shaking his head, "whatever. Please, just leave. Don't cause a scene. I wouldn't want to have someone throw you out."
"Just give me a second," I held my index finger up, using my other hand to take my phone from my pocket, "I'll send a quick text to someone." He only gave me a nod in response as I quickly sent a message to Sean.
'I'm here. This Jefferson guy isn't letting me in.'
Seen just now. That was fast. I fought a smile as I added, 'Also, I'm not coming up even if he allows me in because I want you to come down and drag me up as it's more dramatic.'
Seen just now.'Alright, yeah whatever.' He texted back making me grin as I look up at Jeremiah who was staring at me with his brows furrowed in confusion.
"What?" He asked with a frown on his face which only widened my grin while I replied, "you're gonna get fired today, Jacob."
"It's Jeffrey." He corrected with a scowl, "and yeah okay. I'm supposed to take your word for it? Wow. Miss I dress up like someone who lives on the street barges in the most successful company in America and claims that she's the boss's best friend then she says that I'm going to be fired and I'm supposed to believe her. Yeah right."
"Yeah," I nodded, pursing my lips in a thin line as I tried to ignore that he indirectly called me a homeless bitch, "yeah, you are supposed to." My eyes then fell on someone walking out of the elevator.
Sean.
I didn't think he'd actually come. But oh well...
My lips pulled up into a smirk when he stalked over towards me wearing a grey suit which was not tied, showing his black shirt underneath. The motherfucker walked with his head held high, clearly aware of the amount of power that he was radiating.
Jordan turned his head look in the same direction as me and his eyes widened which made me whisper an 'I told you so' right in his fucked up face.
Ignoring the looks he was receiving, Sean stopped right in front of Jared and stuffed his hands in his pockets as his grey eyes flickered from the guy to me.
"Hey bestie." I flash Sean a grin when he rolled his eyes, huffing before he fixed his stare on Julian who had his head lowered as he stared at the ground in embarrassment. "People that need to be let in, you don't but those who don't, you do. Clearly, you suck at this job."
"How was I supposed to know, sir? She dresses up like a—" Jeff cut himself off, pointing to me, "—a girl who doesn't belong here."
"And you do?" Sean raised his brows, "I'll deal with you later." He turned to me, "come on, your sister left ten minutes go."
"I was kinda hoping she'd still be here." I mumbled, beginning to walk beside him as we headed to the elevator.
"Why?" He questioned, pressing a button before we got inside his private elevator. Once inside, he pressed yet another button which closed the door and then pressed another to get us on the last floor where I assumed his office was.
"We'll talk in your office. I found some things rather..." I trailed off, trying to think of the right word, "... Interesting."
He hummed, "is that so? I hope you brought the drive with you."
"Oh no." I mumbled, looking up at him with my eyes wide opened which made him roll his eyes, "what? Let me guess, you forgot it?"
"I did," I nodded, sighing as I did so. He scoffed in response, shaking his head, "you didn't."
"How do you know?" I leaned against the cold wall of the elevator, staring at him shamelessly. He was a sight and blessing my eyes so why not?
"I can literally see part of it in your pocket, idiot."
"You're the dumb one here." I shot back which resulted in him looking at me with his eyes narrowed, "did you look into it?"
I gasped dramatically, placing a hand over my heart, "why would you think—" he cut me off before I could go any further, "—alright, I'm gonna take that as a 'yes I did'. I knew you would, anyway. Alessio must've taught you these shit."
"Is that Joe guy the dude who sent a girl to steal your shipments?"
"It's Joseph," he corrected to which I nodded, waving my hand, "right, right."
"Yeah, that was him." He nodded just as the door to the elevator opened, revealing a large, gorgeous office with a clear view of the sky and clouds— I wasn't kidding when I said it was high.
"Dude," I breathed out, stepping in, "your office is bigger than my sister's entire building! What the hell?"
"Let's not exaggerate," Sean spoke, the elevator's door closing again as he stepped inside as well. I glanced at him and found him taking off his suit before carelessly throwing it on one of the grey couch found in the office. He rolled up the sleeves of his black shirt which showed the tattoos on his arms and flashed me a smirk before raising his brows, "like what you see?"
"Not quite." I shrugged, smirking when his furrowed his brows, wordlessly telling me to continue, "I'd like it better if you weren't wearing that shirt."
"Darling, we're not there yet." He smirked, "now, the flash drive?"
I— what— yet?
