|Athena's POV|

It's been two days since the whole thing at Alessio's house. Sean and I didn't get to have our office fuck, unfortunately but that was all right considering the fact that he came to my house that night and we did the deed again.

It was good to know that he craved me as much as I craved him.

And then we spent yesterday watching movies the whole day at my place. However, he left earlier this morning for work.

And I was missing him already.

That guy was something else. I didn't know what we were and I didn't care as long as he was here. But god help any bitch who'd dare to touch him inappropriately. Sean was mine— even though he didn't know it yet.

you sound like some obsessed psycho.

"I do, don't I?" I ended up mumbling to myself, brows furrowing at my own actions. "Since when do I talk to myself?"

I was standing in the kitchen, a cup of coffee in my hand as I faced the counter.

"I don't know but then again you were always a little crazy," a familiar voice spoke up from behind me. I didn't even bother to turn around, too busy paying attention to the shit that had been going on inside that crazy messed up head of mine.

But I greeted her nonetheless, "hey Thea—"  my eyes widened as I abruptly placed the mug on the counter before swiftly turning around, my blue eyes meeting her green ones, "Thea?"

Thea, who was standing not so far from me with a hand wrapped around the handle of her suitcase, wearing a loose grey shirt with jeans and a pair of converse and her brown hair falling straight on her back with a cap on her head just in case. "Surprise!" She exclaimed with a wide smile, eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Holy fucking shit!" I rushed towards her, wrapping my arms around her as I hugged her tightly, feeling a rush of happiness flooding through me, "you're here!"

The friendship I had developed with her throughout those months was insane. She was so easy to be friends with. I love that girl. Not in that way. But I do. As a friend, a best friend. My best friend. I've never had one— never really had time for that.

"Am I?" She asked, voice dripping with sarcasm as she hugged me back just as tight, letting go of her suitcase. "Finally," she muttered while we broke apart. "Finally," I repeated with a smile matching hers.

"You could've called me or something," I shot her a look, "I would've come to pick you up from the airport."

"And ruin the surprise?" She arched her brows and shook her head, "hell no. I wanted to see your reaction."

"Come on," I grabbed the handle of her suitcase and began dragging it towards the stairs with her following, "I've had your room prepared since I came. Had a feeling you'd pull a stunt like that."

"You know me so well," she drawled out dramatically as we stopped in front of a room. Opening it, we went inside, I dropped the handle and sat on the bed while she sat beside me and turned to face me.

"So..." She drawled out, her expression turning soft, "Sean knows?"

"Yeah," I gave her a nod resulting in a small sigh from her, "and Alessio?"

"No," my lips pulled up, "you're the one who's gonna tell him."

"How do you want me to do that?" She asked with a huff, "do I just show up at his house?"

"That would be fun," I hummed, trying to picture the face he'd make if Thea was to do that. "But you know what would be more fun?"

"I have a feeling I'm not going to like that idea." She muttered, unable to fight the smile that found it's way onto her face nonetheless. I mirrored her expression, "I'll call him here, you hide behind the door and when he gets in, you sneak up behind him and shout 'boo'—"

"—No," She instantly cut my off with a chuckle, shooting me a strange look, "you really are his sister. That's something he would've said if not done."

"Come on," I groaned, allowing my back to hit the soft mattress behind, "I just wanna see his reaction."

"No," she refused, "I'm not doing that to him. I hate that I did this, you know? I hate what I put him through."

"It wasn't your fault," I stared at the ceiling, "it was my idea. I made you do this but hey look on the bright side, you're alive."

"And he's heartbroken."

"That can be fixed," I resonated, "your death wouldn't have been fixable."

"I suppose you have a point," she lied down beside me, "what's done is done anyway. What are we gonna do about Elizabeth?"

"Working on it," I responded just as I remembered that she was literally Sean's sister. I should probably tell her  "There's something I need to tell you."

"Go ahead."

Just as I opened my mouth, ready to spill the beans, Sean's voice rang through the house as if on cue, "Athena? You better be here motherfucker, you haven't been answering my texts or calls."

Both Thea and I sat up straight at the voice of her brother. Then we heard footsteps. He was coming upstairs.

"Is your throat hurting that much that you can't even talk?" Thea's eyebrows quirked up at that question while my cheeks heat up. Why would you say that asshole— "Woman, I swear to fuck—" Sean cut himself off once he stopped in front of the door, his eyes falling on Thea and they widened. "—Thea?"
