|Athena's POV|

"I work for him," I blurted out at the same time as Alessio did, "she works for me." We exchanged a look, mentally praising ourselves for our telepathy—which I didn't know existed until a few seconds ago.

"She's part of the Russian mafia?" Sean asked, looking at me with his brows furrowed. I nodded, "yes." His eyes darted to my wrist before he let out a huff, shooting Alessio and I pointed looks, "liars."

"What makes you think so?" I tilted my head to the side. He rolled his eyes at me then looked at Alessio, "she doesn't have the tattoo."

"She concealed it." Alessio responded with a nonchalant shrug. Sean shook his head, "stop fucking lying to me! I'm not dumb," he groaned, "I'm not Enzo." While I knew exactly who Enzo was, I faked confusion, "the italian mafia boss? I didn't know he was dumb—" I was cut off by Sean, "—well now you know."

"Can we talk about how you kidnapped one of my most trusted man—I mean, woman?" Alessio asked, glaring at Sean who shook his head, "I know exactly what you're trying to do and it is not working. I know she does not work for you otherwise she would've the tattoo and you would have never come here just to save her. You care for her, obviously," he pointed out, his eyes flickering from me to Alessio back and forth, "and you've never cared for any of the people who works for you. So, my question, who is she?"

Alessio pointed to me, his eyes widening dramatically, "she's gonna faint." I nodded, playing along, "I'm gonna faint."

"No, she's not," Sean rolled his eyes, "I'm going to ask one last time—" his eyes held a serious look as he stared at my brother, "—who the fuck is she?"

Alessio let out a sigh, mumbling a string of curses as he did so. I looked up at him questioningly and he shot me a nod in response, "we can trust him."

"I don't trust him," I retorted with a scowl, narrowing my eyes at Sean. He furrowed his brows, pursing his lips in a thin line, "why not?"

"It's not like you fucking kidnapped me and kept me down here for hours!" I replied sarcastically, "I could've died—" he cut me off with a roll of his eyes, "—stop being so dramatic. I fed you."

"I fed you," I mimicked, flashing him a glare, "I'm not an animal!"

He scoffed at my words, shooting me a smirk as he did so "I can't tell."

Giving him a fake smile, my voice dripping with fake sweetness, I retorted, "that's because you stare at yourself way too much."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means that you stare at yourself so much so that you can no longer tell the difference between a human and an animal, you daft pi—"

"—All right," Alessio cut me off, standing between me and Sean, "that's enough kids."

"We're of the same age," Sean shot back, pointing to me, "she's the kid here. How old are you? Fucking three?"

"Yes and it's time for my bath," I replied with an innocent smile, "can you bath me? I don't know how to."

His eyes widened at my words as he began shaking his head while muttering, "what the fu—"

"—I'm still here!" Alessio groaned out loud which made us both look at him. I let out a sigh, relaxing in my seat before crossing my legs.

"Right," Sean muttered, running a hand through his hair, "where were we?"

"We were talking about how much you suck."

"Athena," Alessio shot me a pointed look which made me shoot him one back in return. He rolled his eyes, turning to look at Sean who flipped me off with a sarcastic smile tugging at his lips. "Anyways," Alessio began, ignoring Sean's rude behaviour, "you have to promise me that you will not tell anyone what I'm about to tell you."

"Promise," Sean said, nodding without hesitation, "now spill."

"Athena here," Alessio nodded his head in my direction making Sean glance at me and I winked at him in response. He rolled his eyes, looking back at Alessio who continued, "is my sister. Her name is Dimwit Romano and yeah, she's my sister."

"What he meant to say is," I cleared my throat, ignoring the funny look on Sean's face, "my name is Athena Romano."

"She's your fucking sister?"
