|Paul's POV|
After talking to Bash, I went back to the grill where Shawn, Mark, Kev, and Rob were. Michelle had suggested a caterer, but Mark was adamant about doing all the cooking.
Since Nicole rekindled her romance with Rob, she's been completely different. She takes full accountability for anything he's done to Zach and apologized for not being a better co parent. While apologies from Nicole usually hold no weight, this time we actually saw changes. It took some time for her and Zach to get to this point, but I'm glad they did . I'm happy she's happy. We've even built a friendship over the years and she and Rob have become family.
I'm proud of Zach and how he's buckled down to become a better player. He has his moments, but overall he's maturing. I'm happy that the family is back together, even if it's only for a weekend.
Looking around at everyone my mind started to drift to the drama surrounding my daughters. There's Murphy and the son of a bitch, excuse me, the so-called teacher that made a pass at her. Plus, add in Kyle harassing Rory. They're really trying to take me out of character, but there's nothing I won't do to protect my family. Granted Ro has Sebastian who I trust to protect her. Still, I'm her father. I can't just ignore this.
"What's on your mind?" Shawn questioned, taking a seat next to me.
I shook my head.
"Tell that lie to someone else. I can see it all over your face."
"Now is not the time to talk about it."
He gave me a look.
"Is it that bad?"
"We have a situation."
The look on his face turned to one that I didn't see often anymore. Shawn was a changed man, no doubt. Still, when it came to family, all bets were off. Throw in two young ladies that he looks at as his own, yeah he and all the guys are going to be just as pissed as I am.
"Why y'all sitting over here looking like you're ready to shoot someone?" Mark quizzed, taking a seat.
"I know that look anywhere. Who's ass needs to be kicked?" Kev questioned.
"I'm going to..."Rob started.
"Rob, sit your ass down. You're family now. Nothing we have to hide from you," Mark stated, pushing him down in a chair.
Rob looked at me and I nodded letting him know it's fine. He was my friend and had built a bond of his own with each of the girls. Mr. Rob was "cool" as they described him.
"Guys, really now is not the time," I commented, hoping to change the subject.
Mark waved me off.
"Like hell it is."
I should've known better than to think I'd be able to hide this from them. They'd just keep questioning me if I didn't say something.
"Long story short, Murphy had a teacher make a pass at her and Rory is being harassed by her ex-boyfriend."
I watched the anger form on their faces as their eyes darkened.
"What the fuck do you mean a teacher made a pass at Murphy?!" Kev questioned.
"She had been skipping class. I thought she was skipping to spend time with her boyfriend. She had this college prep class and her teacher has been inappropriate and even tried to kiss her."
"A grown ass man tried to kiss a 17 year old? When the hell did you find this out?" Mark questioned.
"Friday. If I would've known..."
