"Renee, what the hell are you doing here?" Kelly asked. "What? I'm not even allowed to visit my two boys anymore, but I hear you have visitors, maybe I should have called first." Renee said. "Daddy, Caleb, are we watching Paw Patrol?" Benjamin asked, coming to the front door with the DVD in his hand. 'We'll be right there. You can start." Kelly said, sending his youngest son back into the living room. "You have another son?" Renee asked in surprise. "Yes, and a daughter." Kelly said. "Okay, married?" Renee asked. "Yes, for 7 years, but why do you care?" Kelly asked. "Why don't you just leave like you did back then." Caleb said. "Tell me, how do you talk to your mom." Renee said. "You're not my mom." Caleb said. Then he saw Stella standing at the end of the hallway. "Any woman would be a better mom than you, but I've had the best for 7 years." Caleb said, walking over to Stella and hugging her. Stella was a bit perplexed and speechless because she didn't expect such a statement. "You two go into the living room and I'll be right there." Kelly said. Stella and Caleb went into the living room. Kelly waited until he heard the TV and was sure the others couldn't hear him. "Okay, now listen to me. I don't know why you're here; I don't care either, but I'll tell you something now. I won't let you take Caleb with you. I'll keep custody and if it's the last thing I do." Kelly said. "We will see. I know the best lawyers; you won't stand a chance." Renee hissed, got in her car and drove away. Kelly watched her go and felt his fear creep up on him. Kelly closed the door and leaned against it. "Dad." Caleb said cautiously. Kelly quickly wiped the tears from his face and turned around. Caleb went to his dad and hugged him. "I want to stay with you." Caleb said, looking at his dad. "Don't worry. I won't let you be taken away from me." Kelly said, kissing his forehead. The two went back into the living room. After the film, Caleb went to his room and closed the door behind him. "He's going through a lot right now." Sylvie said. "Yes, on Friday he was on sick leave because of the pressure he has at school, yesterday he was molested by a stranger and today his mother reappeared after 14 years and makes a perfect world." Stella said. "I have a feeling the next few weeks won't be easy for any of us." Kelly said, pulling Lydia out of the playpen, who is a bit restless. "Shall we two see how Caleb is doing?" Kelly asked his youngest. Lydia smiled at him. "I'll take that as a yes." Kelly laughed, taking Lydia upstairs. He knocked on Caleb's door and tried to open it, but it was locked. "K, hey buddy, it's me with Lydia. Can we come in?" Kelly asked. It was quiet for a moment, then the door was unlocked. Kelly opened the door and entered. Caleb was sitting on the couch watching a movie. "Need some cuddles from Lydia?" Kelly asked. "Yes, please." Caleb said, picking up his little sister. "Why now?" Caleb asked. "I don't know." Kelly said. Caleb got one of his stuffed animals from the boxes in his closet and played with Lydia. "Listen, we have to go shopping today, do you want to come with us?" Kelly asked and Caleb nodded.

In the afternoon,Kelly, Caleb, and Lydia went to the mall to run some errands. "Dad, can Icome take the little ones to school or daycare tomorrow?" Caleb asked."Don't you want to just sleep?" Kelly asked, putting 2 boxes ofcereal in the shopping cart. "I can still sleep in for 6 weeks straight."Caleb said, putting 2 jars of jam and 1 jar of Nutella in the shopping cart. While Kelly got the meat, Caleb was joking with Lydia. "You two havingfun, aren't you?" Kelly laughed while the butcher packed everything up."Your children?" the butcher asked. "Yes." Kelly said, putting the bags in the shopping cart. After shopping, they drove home, wherethey were already expected. "Boys, kitchen, now!" Stella shouted.Kelly and Caleb looked at each other. "What have we done?" Calebasked. "We'll find out in a moment." Kelly said. The two went intothe kitchen where Stella, Sylvie Matt and the twins were sitting at the kitchentable. Kelly joined them while Caleb gets a water from the fridge and leansagainst the kitchen island. "The girls would like to tell you something."Sylvie said. Caleb frowned. "You always spent so much time with Ben andMatty it made us feel lonely" Layla said. "We miss you not playingand spending time with us as much." Kayla added. "That's why theynever wanted to take the dogs out." Sylvie said. "Okay, I would like tosay something about that. I understand that you were sad because I haven't beenspending much time with you guys lately. I'm sorry and we can change thatimmediately, but you always had the opportunity to spend time with me if youwould have come with me when I went for a walk with Spiky and Filou."Caleb said. "I have to agree with him and that will change from now on. We'llall be walking the dogs together from now on and there's no more excuses."Matt said. Layla and Kayla nodded. After the conversation, the kids played videogames in the living room while the adults prepared dinner. After dinner, thelittle ones were allowed to watch some TV before they had to go to bed.
