After homework, Caleb went to his room and assembled his two Lego sets that Kelly bought him 2 weeks ago. Suddenly his phone vibrated. Caleb unlocked his phone and a photo emerged. Caleb's eyes lit up and he jumped up. He ran out of his room and stormed down the stairs. "UNCLE MATT! AUNT SYLVIE! THEY ARE HERE!" he shouted and stormed into the living room. "Really? Show me." Andrew said. Caleb sat down on the couch and showed them the picture. "And what gender are they?" Julian asked. "No idea. He didn't write." Caleb said. At that moment Kelly called. "You can ask him yourself right now." Caleb said. "Hey Uncle Kelly." Andrew said. "Hey buddy. How are you doing?" Kelly asked. "Quite well. You guys?" Andrew asked. "What gender have the babies?" Julian asked impatiently. "You'll find out tomorrow when you come visit us." Kelly said. "Why tomorrow?" Caleb asked. "The birth was pretty tough for Stella and the doctors want her to rest for now." Kelly said. "How is she?" Matt asked. "She's pretty exhausted and is sleeping now." Kelly said. "And the twins?" Sylvie asked. "They are healthy. They'll be in the nursery for a few more days, but if all goes well, they'll be able to go home in a few days." Kelly said. "How are you?" Caleb asked. "So far so good. I'm pretty exhausted too, it's been a long day." Kelly said. "Are you coming home or are you staying in the hospital?" Caleb asked. "I don't know yet. We'll see how Mom is doing." Kelly said. "Ok, we love you guys and give Mom a kiss from us." Caleb said. "I will. I'm going back in. See you then." Kelly said. "Yeah, see you later." Caleb said and hung up. "Can we visit Mommy now?" Benjamin asked. "No, you heard what Daddy said. Mom needs a little rest now. But we can go see her tomorrow." Caleb said. "All right. Can we play outside now?" Benjamin asked. "Yes, of course. Come on." Matt said. The little ones ran outside. "Are you coming too?" Andrew asked. "Yes, as soon as Lydia lets me get up." Caleb said. Lydia sat down in front of Caleb and smiled at him. "Well, you. How does it feel not to be the youngest anymore?" Caleb asked, picking her up. Lydia screeched excitedly. They went outside to the others. For dinner they ordered pizza.
When Caleb came into the kitchen the next morning, he stopped in surprise. "What are you doing here? I thought you were in the hospital with Mom?" Caleb asked. "At least I thought I had to keep up our breakfast tradition." Kelly said, placing a plate of pancakes on the table. "Once I could have done it without you. I also have the annual ticket for the public transport." Caleb said and sat down at the table. "Did you sleep well?" Kelly asked. "Yes, you?" Caleb asked. "Yes, very well." Kelly said. "Dad, do you mind if I come over in the evening? After school, me and the boys wanted to go to the skater park in Grant Park. Tony Hawk is doing an autograph session there today and showing off his skills." Caleb said. "Of course not." Kelly said. After breakfast, Kelly drove his son to school. "I wish you a lot of fun and then see you tonight." Kelly said. "Yeah, see you tonight." Caleb said, getting out of the car.
"Hey Caleb, are you alright?" Blake asked. "Yes, why do you ask?" Caleb asked. "We were supposed to meet at the mall yesterday afternoon." Blake said. "Oh f*ck right. I'm really sorry, but there was something going on at home yesterday." Caleb said, slapping his forehead. "What happened?" Bailey asked. "Mom's water broke yesterday morning." Caleb said. "Really? That's great. How's she and the twins doing?" Liam asked. "As far as I can tell it's pretty good. However, the birth must have been quite tiring. They went to the hospital at 6:30 am and at 4:30 pm Dad sent me a picture of them both...wait." Caleb said, pulling out his phone. He showed them the photo Kelly sent him yesterday. "Awe, how sweet. What gender are they?" Talia asked. "I'll find out tonight." Caleb said. "Why tonight?" Zane asked. "Because we wanted to go to Grant Park after school. Tony Hawk is there." Caleb said. "But you're writing to us?" Annabelle asked. "Of course, although I think your parents will already know. So are your cousins." Caleb said. Then the bell rang and they went into the school building. During a brief pause, Caleb was called into the principal's office. Caleb knocked on the office door and entered. "You wanted to see me?" Caleb asked. "Caleb, yes, sit down." Mr. White said. Caleb took the empty chair next to his teacher, Mr. Chen. "Am I in trouble?" Caleb asked. "No, don't worry. We'd just like to discuss something with you." Mr. White said. "Okay, and about what?" Caleb asked. "First of all, we'd like to know how you are?" Mr. Chen asked. "Very good. Or shall we say, very good again." Caleb said. "Yes, I was about to say. You have made enormous progress again in the last 3 weeks. Your academic performance has also improved again." Mr. White said while looking at Caleb's school record. "How are things at home? Are you all right there too?" Mr. Chen asked. "Yes. Having said that, I have to say there's a chance I'll be a bit tired any time soon." Caleb said. "So, it's time?" Mr. Chen asked. "They were born yesterday." Caleb said. "Congratulations." Mr. White and Mr. Chen said. "Thanks. But you didn't want to talk to me about my private life, did you?" Caleb asked. "No, sorry. The following. You know that we have 2 boys at our school who had to flee from Brazil?" Mr. White asked. "Yes, the two have been here at our school since Friday, no longer have parents and live here with a foster family." Caleb said. "Exactly. And now we thought, since you're very gifted with languages and you get along well with younger kids, we wanted to ask you if you would be willing to give them a little support?" Mr. White asked. "And what does that mean?" Caleb asked. "It means that you just help them a little bit in their everyday school life. For example, with homework." Mr. White explained. "Ok, but my Portuguese isn't that good, though." Caleb said. "It doesn't matter. They already speak a little English." Mr. White said. "And with your support, we hope that the two of them will also open up to us teachers." Mr. Chen said. "Okay, sure. I can try." Caleb said. "You don't have to decide right away...Here, I'll give you this form with the student profiles of both of them, so you know who you're dealing with." Mr. White said and gave him a copy of the two student files. "You can discuss it again with your family in peace. We'd just be happy if you could let us know by the end of this week." Mr. Chen said. "Ok, do I have to let you know or doesn't matter who I tell?" Caleb asked. "It doesn't matter who you tell it to." Mr. White said. "Okay." Caleb said. "That's it then. You can go now." Mr. White said. Caleb put the file in his school bag and left the office. "Hey, what did the principal want from you?" Liam asked when Caleb returned to his friends. "Nothing special." Caleb said. "Come on. Otherwise, you will never be called to the principal. What have you done?" Tiffany asked. "All right. Mr. White and Mr. Chen want me to give the two boys from Brazil a little support and help them with their homework." Caleb explained. "That's so sweet of you. They both seem pretty traumatized." Mila said. "Yes. I can't even imagine what they had to go through. I mean, imagine you're their age, your parents are dead, and you're running from Brazil to Chicago all by yourself." Nigel said. "Yeah, we're lucky with our families." Zane said. "Yes, we are." Caleb said thoughtfully.
After class, the boys drove to Grant Park. The skater park was already full and the boys tried to fight their way through. "Hey guys, look. There he is." Liam said. "I've only seen him on TV before, but never in front of me." Blake said. "I'm so excited to finally meet him." Nigel said. "Yeah, me too." Caleb said. "Come on. We're going over there. We've got a little more space there." Liam said. The boys went to the other side of the skater park. Tony Hawk first gave a few interviews and then showed his best tricks on the skateboard. The boys were impressed and couldn't stop being amazed. At the end, Tony Hawk gave autographs and fulfilled photo requests. After meeting Tony Hawk, they parted ways and Caleb went to the Med.
