A few weeks have now passed. Andrew, Julian, Levi and Hayden have now been officially adopted by Matt and Sylvie and are now attending the same school as the little ones. Stella and Sylvie are 3 months pregnant and Stella had surprising news at the last ultrasound. She's expecting twins. Kelly, Matt, Caleb, Andrew and Julian have spent the past few weeks completing their new home and furnishing all of the bedrooms with the newly purchased furniture.
Today the last furniture was delivered. "What do you all think. Can we finish by the time the others come in the afternoon?” Julian asked. "I hope so." Matt smiled and helped Julian and Caleb carry them inside. "Dad, Uncle Kelly asked if you could help him set up Caleb's display case quickly. I'm not big and strong enough, unfortunately." Andrew asked. "Yes, I come. In the meantime, will you help the others carry the rest of the furniture in?" Matt asked and Andrew nodded. After all the furniture was in the house, the boys looked around the house. "The kitchen is definitely 10 times bigger than our old one." Julian said. "Let's take a look downstairs." Caleb said. The 3 were about to go down when Kelly and Matt came down from above. "Where are you going?" Kelly asked. "We wanted to check out the basement." Caleb said. "There's plenty of time for that later. Come on." Kelly said. In the afternoon the others came. Stella opened the trunk of her new 17-seater and was about to pull out one of the boxes when Caleb stopped her. "You not. That’s our job." he said. "The boxes aren't that heavy." Stella said. “Complain to Dad. He told us to carry the boxes in." Caleb said, handing a box to Andrew and Julian. "Help too." Benjamin and Matty said. Caleb took two backpacks out of the trunk and gave them to them. Inside, Kelly and Matt were waiting in the kitchen. “Hey. Welcome to our new home." Kelly said, picking up Benjamin. "Daddy, can we see our room?" Layla asked. "Yeah sure, then I suggest we start upstairs and work our way down." Matt said and the others agreed. They went upstairs and the boys showed them the attic and the roof terrace first. Then they looked at the rooms. "Very good. You've already got the baby furniture too.” Sylvie said. "Yes, although I don't know why. It's still about 6 months and we don't know the gender yet either." Caleb said. "Are we going to find out what it’s going to be or are you keeping it a secret?" Andrew asked. "Both. We will find out from you in the next few weeks. With us, you have to wait until the birth." Caleb explained. "Where is Lydia going to sleep?" Stella asked. "I figured you'd ask." Kelly said, walking to a door in the room and opening it. Stella let Lydia down. "I think Lydi likes her room." Caleb smiled. Lydia pulled herself up on her bed and jumped up and down excitedly. "Don’t worry. Of course, we'll leave the door open at night." Kelly said. "By the way, we have 2 rooms left, but Dad said you guys know." Caleb said. "Yes. We'll let you know when it's time." Stella said. "Now we want to see your room too." Sylvie said. "Well, come on, then." Caleb said. "Before we go in, I have to say something. There will be a small rule change. From now on you have to knock first and then you can come in.” Caleb explained and looked at Benjamin and Matty. The two 4- and 5-year-old looked at him a little shyly and nodded. "You don't have to wait for me to tell you to come in. Just knock and come in." Caleb said and opened the door to his room. His room was the biggest of them all. It had a large single bed, a pull-out sofa, a medium sized flat screen TV, a bathroom with a shower and even a small balcony. "I guess that means we won't see you as often." Sylvie smiled and Caleb just shrugged innocently. "But it looks really cozy in here." Stella said, looking around. "I'm looking forward to tonight when I sleep in my new bed for the first time." Caleb said. "I'm happy to believe you, but remember, you still have to go back to school tomorrow." Stella smiled. They then went back downstairs and looked at the living room, the conservatory and the outdoor area before going downstairs. In the basement there was the laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, a small wine cellar, a drinks room and a larger refrigerator and a large freezer. "So, kids and finally the best for you, if it's not so nice weather outside." Kelly said and opened one of the still closed doors. The little ones couldn't stop being amazed. "We thought you might like something like this." Matt said. "We love it." Kayla said, hugging her dad. In the room there was a ball pool, plenty of space to play around and in a small side room there was a sports room with a goal wall and a punching bag. And what's in here?" Sylvie asked as they left the room. "We've got something for the whole family in here." Matt said, opening the door. "Our own home theater." Julian said. "Guys, that really wasn't necessary." Stella said. "Why not? It's a way for us to cozy up to our movie nights." Caleb said. "And we don't all have to fit on the same couch." Matt smiled. "It's perfect." Sylvie smiled and kissed Matt. "Daddy, can we watch a movie tonight?" Layla asked. “You have school tomorrow and besides; you know the rules. No long movie nights when it's school the next day. And besides, the system has to be installed first.” Matt comforted his daughter. "First of all, we're going to unpack the moving boxes." Stella said. "Can we watch a movie next weekend?" Kayla asked. "Yes of course." Sylvie smiled and gave her a kiss. "Will you help us unpack?" Layla asked. “Yeah sure, come on.” Kelly said and they went upstairs. After everything was unpacked, the adults prepared dinner in their new, more spacious kitchen, the little ones played in the living room and the 3 big ones played video games in the living room.
