After the first shopping trip they drove back home. "So, did you find what you were looking for?" Stella asked when the four of them were home. "Yes, we are. Here, take a look." Caleb said and showed her the shopping bag. "Not bad. And you're going to put all of that in a carry-on suitcase?" Stella asked. Caleb looked at her a little askance. "What?" Stella asked. "I'm unpacking the things. Put them in the cases and then put them in my carry-on luggage. So, I still have enough space for the other things. And I can also take two pieces of hand luggage with me." Caleb said. "Good point." Stella said. Caleb went upstairs, unpacked his suitcase and brought his dirty laundry down to the basement.
Kelly and Matt set up the grill station outside while Stella, Sylvie, Elyas and Aiko prepared everything in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the kids were playing in the basement. "Kids, dinner is ready." Sylvie called out. "We're coming." Andrew shouted. The kids ran up the stairs and outside into the winter garden. "Where are Lydia and Caleb?" Matt asked. "Lydia wants to go up the stairs herself and Caleb can't get past her." Andrew grinned. "I'll take a look at the two of them." Elyas said and went in. "Well, you two. Are you okay?" Elyas asked, leaning against the banister. "You can start now, it might take a while." Caleb said. "Kiki." Lydia said, sitting on the step and stretching out her arms. "Finally." Caleb said, picked her up and went outside with Elyas. Caleb put her in her high chair and then sat down too.
Since they had dinner very early today, the little ones were able to continue playing after dinner. Andrew, Julian and Caleb went into Caleb's room, unpacked the electronics, put them in one of the carry-on suitcases and then played a video game. The adults were tidying up the kitchen and conservatory when the doorbell rang. "I'll open it." Matt said, went to the door and opened it. Outside were two familiar faces about Caleb's age. "Hey, you two. Nice to see you again. How are you?" Matt asked. "Hey Matt. Pretty good, thank you. You?" Michael asked. "We are fine thanks. Come on in." Matt said. Michael and Jason entered and Matt closed the door. "You definitely want to go to Caleb, am I right?" Matt asked. "Yeah, is he here?" Jason asked. "He's upstairs in his room. I'll get him." Matt said and went upstairs. "Hey you two. What are you doing here?" Stella asked as she came out of the kitchen. "Hi Stella. We have to tell Caleb something. You can listen too." Michael said. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Caleb asked as he came downstairs with Andrew and Julian. "We heard that you are moving to the Soccer Academy in Dubai at the end of September." Jason said. "Man. Do your fires always spread so quickly?" Caleb asked, getting a Coke from the fridge. "The following." Michael said. "And that?" Caleb asked. "We will accompany you." Jason said. Caleb raised his eyebrows at his two friends. "What do you mean?" Stella asked. Michael and Jason looked at Caleb and grinned. "Don't be serious." Caleb said. "Yes." Jason said. "It seems like Chicago's newest 'dream forward trio' is playing together again." Caleb said, wrapping his arms around his friends. "Would you like to come to the soccer campus? It's training today, maybe he'll be there too." Jason said. Caleb looked at his parents. "All right. But only briefly. It's going to be a long day tomorrow." Kelly said. "And then maybe you can take Spiky, Filou and Mocha with you." Stella said. Caleb whistled and the 3 puppies immediately came running. Caleb got dressed, put the puppies on the leash and left the house with Michael and Jason.
The training ground was already busy. "Man, there might be something going on here." Caleb said. "Yes. Since it became known that you/we had our first soccer training sessions here and that we have now been accepted into what is probably the most important soccer academy in the world, they have been inundated with inquiries." Michael said. "And you know that because...?" Caleb asked. "Jason's little cousin and my little brother play together in the U8." Michael said. "Hey Caleb. It's nice that you're stopping by again. How are you?" Harold asked, the president of the youth department. "Hi Harold. I am feeling pretty good. Yourself?" Caleb asked. "Thanks, I can't complain." Harold said. "I see. I can't remember a time when there were so many people here at once." Caleb said, looking around. "Yes. Since it was announced that you would be attending the I.S.A., membership numbers have skyrocketed." Harold said. "How does everyone know about this?" Caleb asked. "It's on the website and in the Chicago Fire SC newspaper that all members receive monthly." Michael said. "I hope that's okay with you." Harold said. "Yes, of course. I have to get used to it now anyway." Caleb said. "Have your follower numbers on Insta actually increased?" Jason asked. "Not that much. The only new followers I've gotten during this time are those from our new teammates, the coaches and the academy." Caleb said. "Yes, same with ours." Michael said. "When does it start?" Harold asked. "We are flying on September 30th. We have the introduction on October 2nd and things really get going on October 3rd." Jason said. After talking to Harold, the 3 boys went back home. When Caleb came home with the puppies, Aiko and Elyas were putting the youngest ones to bed. "So, how was it?" Sylvie asked. "Honestly. A bit strange. We saw Harold and he told us that membership numbers have skyrocketed since it was announced that the three of us were going to Dubai." Caleb said. "But that also means that you are already a role model for hundreds of children." Stella said, running her hand through his hair. Caleb shrugged. "By the way, Tyler called. You should call him back tomorrow." Matt said. "Ok. I think I'll go to bed now too. I'm still pretty tired from the trip back." Caleb said. "Is good. Goodnight and sleep well." Stella said and gave him a kiss on the head. "Night Dad." Caleb called into the kitchen. "Good night." Kelly called back.
