When Caleb got to school on Monday morning, his friends were already waiting for him. "Hey C.J." Nigel greeted. "Hey guys. Are you okay?" Caleb asked. "Yes. With you?" Annabelle asked. "Yes and no." Caleb said. "Uh oh." Talia said. "I have good news and bad news. I'll tell you the good one in a moment. I'll tell you the bad one during the lunch break. It'll take a little longer." Caleb said. "Now you're scaring us." Bailey said. "Nothing serious. Alright. I'll give you the short version. I'll be moving to Dubai in September." Caleb said. "So, you accepted the offer?" Blake asked. Caleb nodded. "That's great. Oh man. We're so happy for you." Tiffany said and hugged him. "So, it's good news in that sense. Though of course it's a shame you're moving away." Zane said. "What's the other good news?" Liam asked. "Aunt Katie had her baby last night." Caleb said. "OMG. Caleb. Congratulations." Mila said. "Thank you." Caleb smiled. "And? Girl or boy?" Mila asked. "Girl. Eleanor Kinsley." Caleb said. "Awe. Do you have photos?" Bailey asked. "Not yet. I'm going over after school today. Yesterday was too early as the birth must have been pretty tiring." Caleb said.
At lunchtime, Caleb and his friends sat in the back corner of the school cafeteria. "Does your dad still make your lunch box?" Zane asked. "Why not. Dad always makes me breakfast. Bad?" Caleb asked, unsure. "No not at all. That's totally normal. I think it's great that you have such a good relationship with your dad. My parents do it too." Liam said. "Now tell us. How about the Academy?" Zane asked. "So. I will be flying to Dubai at the end of September. There I will play in an international team and also participate in national and international tournaments." Caleb said. "And what kind of players are you going to live with?" Nigel asked. "At the moment I only know that the players come from all over the world. I'll find out everything else there." Caleb said. "Do you know if you're going to live with someone you know from before?" Talia asked. Caleb shrugged. "Can we actually come visit you or can you come home?" Mila asked. "You can come visit me anytime and I can come home during the summer months and Christmas/New Year." Caleb said. "Do you have pictures of the Academy or any flyers we can look at?" Blake asked. "No, unfortunately not yet. But on Wednesday my personal advisor will come by and discuss everything with us. Then I can certainly show you some photos. And I'm sure I'll have more information then." Caleb said. "Hello." a voice said suddenly. "Oh. hey you two. Are you okay?" Caleb asked. The two boys nodded. "Um guys. This is Jamiro and Luian, the two Brazilian boys I told you about." Caleb said. "Ah yes. Come on, sit down." Liam said. The teens made some space for the two boys and Jamiro and Luian sat down. "You settled in well?" Blake asked. "Yes. We already have a lot of friends." Luian said. "That's great." Talia said. "How did your math test go, by the way?" Caleb asked. "Quite well, we think. We won't get him back until the last lesson." Jamiro said. "Ok. I'm curious then." Caleb said. "There's something else we need to tell you." Luian said. "Okay." Caleb said cautiously. "We will move. Our father got a new job in New York." Jamiro said. "That's great. That makes me happy for you. Then I have something to tell you, too." Caleb said. "And what?" Luian asked. "I'm moving too." Caleb said. "Cool. Where to?" Jamiro asked. "And when?" Luian asked. "End of September to Dubai. I'm going to live in a soccer academy there." Caleb said. "Dubai? That's far away. I thought we could still see each other." Luian said. "Yes. Or at least keep in touch." Jamiro said. "Hey. We can still keep in touch. Your parents have my number, nothing will change that. And you can also come and visit me in Dubai at any time. Also, I'll be flying home for the summer and Christmas/New Year." Caleb explained. "Can you come to New York sometime?" Luian asked. "Of course." Caleb said. "Do you know when you're moving to New York?" Nigel asked. "The day after the last day of school." Jamiro said. "I'm not flying until the end of September. Maybe my parents will let me fly to New York for a few days." Caleb said. "Alone?" Jamiro asked. "Yes. I mean, I fly to Dubai alone too. And besides, when I was still playing for a club, I used to travel alone a lot." Caleb said. "Cool. We would be happy if you would come and visit us." Luian said. "I promise I'll stop by and see you before I fly to Dubai." Caleb said. "And he keeps his promises." Bailey said. "Are you guys coming to visit?" Jamiro asked shyly. "Um, yes of course. If it's okay. I mean, we just met each other." Blake said. "We would be happy if we could visit you too sometime." Annabelle said. " Does your dad allow it?" Mila asked. "I'll ask Mom. She'll allow it. And if I go with Caleb anyway, then my dad will allow it for sure." Annabelle said. Luian and Jamiro frowned at Caleb. "Annabelle's dad and my parents work together at Firehouse 51. She's the only daughter, so her dad keeps a special eye on her." Caleb said. After the lunch break, Luian and Jamiro went back to their class and the teens went to the gym.
