"Hey Caleb. Who's that next to your dad?" Blake asked. "My aunt. So, Dad's sister." Caleb said. "Katie?" Zane asked. "Yeah, she's staying for a while." Caleb said. "Cool. She hasn't been here for a long time.” Liam said. "Yes. They moved to Colorado when I was 6 and have only been here once since, a few months after Benny was born." Caleb said. “So, they've never seen the youngest?” Nigel asked. "They've seen them, in photos and in video chat, but never face to face." Caleb said and the boys went over to them. "Hey guys." Katie greeted. "Hey." Caleb said, hugging her. "Man, you've grown up." Katie said. "You haven't been here in a long time, either." Caleb said with a wink. "Your dad already told me you know." Katie said. "You know what?" Blake asked. "I'm getting a cousin." Caleb said. “Wait, what? And you don't tell us that.” Zane said. "You don't have to know everything right away." Caleb said, shaking his head and rolling his eyes. “Soz, boys, all aboard. We'll drive you." Kelly said and opened the sliding door of the van. The boys got in and Kelly drove to Millennium Park. There the boys got out of the van and Caleb pushed the door shut. “I'll pick you up in about 3 hours. If you want to be picked up earlier, you can call.” Kelly said. "Okay, thanks Dad." Caleb said. The boys waited for Kelly and Katie to drive away and then headed to Millennium Park's ice rink. They got skates and went onto the ice. "Is your aunt staying in Chicago now?" Nigel asked. "All I know is she's staying for a few weeks now, for sure." Caleb said. "How many years are your dad and Katie apart?" Blake asked. “17 years. Katie was 10 when I was born. When I was a baby, she and my grandparents always looked after me when Dad, Uncle Matt and Aunt Sylvie were on shifts." Caleb said.
Kelly picked the boys up two and a half hours later and drove everyone home. "So, what are we doing tonight?" Caleb asked on the drive home. "We're going to the Chicago Cut Steakhouse for dinner tonight." Kelly said. "Cool." Caleb said happily. "We're going home now, then you can take a shower, change clothes and then we'll go." Kelly said. Kelly pulled into the driveway and the two got out. "It's so cold." Caleb said, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets. "That's what winter is like." Kelly laughed and unlocked the front door. "Hey guys." Stella greeted, coming out of the living room with Oakley in her arms. "Hey." Caleb said. Kelly kissed her and took Oakley. "Are you okay?" Stella asked. "Yes. It's just cold outside.” Caleb said. "I told you this morning to dress warmly enough." Stella said with a smile. Caleb rolled his eyes and went upstairs. "How is he? Mom said he wasn't feeling too well.” Katie said, coming out of the living room with Crystal in her arm. "He's doing pretty well now. A few months ago, he had a depressive phase, which made us really worried about him. He's better now, but we're always on the alert." Kelly said. "Daddy, when is Kayab coming home?" Benjamin asked. “He's already home. He's upstairs taking a shower." Kelly said. "You guys were too busy playing." Stella laughed, ruffling her son's hair. "Yeah." Benjamin said. “Come on. You should get ready too." Stella said. "Okay." Benjamin said. Stella got the boys out of the playroom in the basement and took them upstairs. "Girls, the same goes for you." Sylvie said. "Come on Mom. Just finish the game." Layla begged. The twins sat in front of the TV and played one of their video games. "You can pause the game and finish playing later." Sylvie said. “All right. You guys make sure nobody messes with anything." Kayla said. "Let's do it." Kelly said, sitting down on the couch with Oakley still in his arms. "I can see the little ones love Caleb a lot." Katie said, sitting down on the couch with her brother, also still holding Crystal. "That's right. They always ask when he's coming home." Kelly said. "Doddy." Lydia said. “Who is that Lydi? Is that Mocha?" Kelly asked. "Moma." Lydia said, pointing to the puppy lying on the chair. "You haven't had him that long, have you?" Katie asked. "No. Mocha has only been with us since yesterday. Caleb rescued him from the river." Kelly explained. "From the river?!" Katie asked in horror. "Yes. On the way home, Caleb saw someone throw a gym bag in the river and he found the little guy in the bag and took him to the vet right away." Kelly said. "I don't understand how people can do something like that. I mean look at him. He's such a cutie.” Katie said. Kelly and Katie watched Lydia play with Mocha. "Dad. I need your opinion. What shirt should I wear?” Caleb asked, holding a royal blue shirt and a burgundy shirt in front of his body. "Are you leaving those pants on?" Kelly asked. "Yes." Caleb said. "And what t-shirt do you want to wear underneath?" Katie asked. "A black one." Caleb said. "Then the blue one." Kelly said. "Okay thanks." Caleb said and went back upstairs. "Dad would be proud of you." Katie smiled. Kelly put his arm around his sister and kissed her on the head. "So, we're back. Is everything still the same?” Layla asked, looking at the TV. "Yeah, it's still the same." Kelly said. Layla and Kayla squeezed in between Kelly and Katie and continued playing. "Daddy look, Spider-Man." Benjamin said, proudly showing off his t-shirt. "Great. Is that the shirt Aunt Katie gave you?" Kelly asked. "Yeah. Mommy said I could wear it." Benjamin said. "If Mommy says so." Kelly smiled. "I'm Batman." Levi said, who now also came into the living room. "Can you fly?" Kayla asked. "No." Levi said. "Then you're not Batman." Layla said. "Yes, I am." Levi protested. "No, you're not." Kayla said. “Girls. Leave your brother alone." Kelly said. "Yes. I didn't contradict you when you said you were princesses." Caleb said, who has now joined the group. "We're princesses, too." Layla said. "No, you're not." Levi said. Kayla glared at her brother. "Okay, that's enough for now. Girls, you are princesses and you Levi are Batman." Sylvie said. "And we're Ironman." Matty said, wearing the same shirt as Hayden. "Yes. And you're Ironman and Benny is Spider-Man." Caleb said. "Okay, everything is settled now. Then let's go." Stella said. "But, Daddy's not here yet." Matty said, disappointed. "Daddy's waiting for us in front of the restaurant." Sylvie said. "Where was he anyway?" Caleb asked. "He was teaching at the Academy today." Sylvie said. "Oh yeah, right. I completely forgot." Caleb said. They got dressed and got into the family van. Caleb helped buckle the babies. Matt was already waiting for her at the restaurant. "Daddy." Matty said excitedly and ran into his dad's arms. "Hey buddy. Are you okay?” Matt asked. "Yes. I missed you." Matty said. "I missed you too." Matt said, kissing him. "Hey Matt." Katie said, hugging him. «Hey. It's so nice to see you again. And congratulations." Matt said. Inside, they were greeted by a waitress and escorted to their reserved table. They got the menu and ordered something to drink. "Okay kids. We want you all to eat your vegetables today. Otherwise, you won't get dessert,” Stella said. "Okay." the kids said. When they got their food, the waitress took a family picture. They then enjoyed the evening together.
