When Caleb got to school the next morning, his friends were already waiting impatiently for him. "Hey guys. Why so nervous?" Caleb asked. "Because now we finally want to know what gender they are." Liam said. "My parents didn't tell me. They said I needed to find out from you," Annabelle said. "It was the same with our cousins. They wouldn't tell us." Zane said. "I sent you the picture." Caleb said. "Yeah, but we can't tell." Mila said. "What are you betting on?" Caleb asked. "The boys say that there are 2 boys. Annabelle and Mila say there are 2 girls. And Bailey, Talia and I say it's 1 boy and 1 girl." Tiffany said. "All right then. All I can say is you boys are wrong." Caleb said. "Then it's two girls." Zane said. "Why, he just said you're wrong. Which means it's not 2 boys." Talia said. "He said we were wrong. If it's 1 boy and 1 girl he could have said we were only half wrong." Nigel said. "Nigel's right. So, it's 2 girls?" Mila asked. Caleb tried not to notice. "It's 2 girls." Annabelle said. "Ok fine. You won. Yes, it's 2 girls...Here, the one on the left is Oakley Lila and on the right is Crystal Mea." Caleb said, showing them the photo again. "Aww. How cute." Bailey said. "How's your mom?" Annabelle asked. "She's recovered quite well." Caleb said. "And your brother? Is he happy to have 2 more sisters?" Nigel asked. "Oh yeah. He's very excited and extremely happy." Caleb said. "And Lydia?" Blake asked. "She's one and a half years old. I don't think she understands what's going on around her yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I know more." Caleb said and everyone laughed. Then the bell rang and they went into the school building.

After class, Caleb waited for all the students to leave the classroom. "Caleb. Are you alright?" Mr. Chen asked. "Yes. I just wanted to talk to you about the two boys." Caleb said. "Have you decided yet?" Mr. Chen asked. "Yes, I spoke to my family about it yesterday. I'll do it." Caleb said. "Good, then I'll discuss everything else with Mr. White. We will then let you know as soon as we know when, how and where." Mr. Chen said. Caleb nodded, said goodbye and left the classroom. His friends were waiting for him outside. "Hey, where have you been?" Zane asked. "I had to discuss something with Mr. Chen about the two boys." Caleb said. "Are you doing it?" Tiffany asked. "Yes." Caleb said. "That's really sweet of you. I watched the two today during lunch break. They were sitting at a table all by themselves." Mila said. On the way home the kids talked about the two boys, Caleb's twin sisters and sports. As Caleb pulled into the driveway of his home, he heard a baby cry. He unlocked the door, put his school bag in his rack, took off his shoes and jacket and went into the living room. "Hey K. How was your day?" Kelly asked. "Fine, but what's this?" Caleb asked. "Mommy at home." Benjamin said, hugging Caleb. "I hear that, but I thought she was going to stay in the hospital for a few more days?" Caleb asked, picking up Benjamin. "You know her. She can't be without her kids for long." Kelly said. "Kiki." Lydia said excitedly when Stella came into the living room with her. "Oh yes, let's swap. This kid is getting heavy." Caleb said, lowering Benjamin. "Hey, I'm not heavy. Daddy I'm not heavy." Benjamin protested and slapped Caleb on the back. Kelly and Stella laughed and Caleb gave Lydia a hug. "Okay, I have to pass. Lydia, you're getting heavy too." Caleb said, setting her down on the floor. "Are you alright?" Stella asked. "Yeah, we just went to the gym today and now I can't feel my arms anymore." Caleb said, shaking out his arms. "Oh dear, poor you." Stella said and gave him a kiss on the head. "Need a relaxing bath?" Kelly asked. "Oh yeah. May I?" Caleb asked. "Sure. You can go into our bathroom." Kelly said. "Great. Thanks. But first I have to tell you something about school." Caleb said and took a piece of paper out of his school bag. "Show me then." Kelly said, taking the note from Caleb. "I only have school until 1 p.m. tomorrow and then the rest of the week off because our teachers have to go to a teachers' conference in Detroit." Caleb explained. "Great. Then you can help me with the babies." Stella said. "All right. But can I sleep a little late in the morning?" Caleb asked. "Of course. It won't do much though, you heard it yourself." Stella said. "Yeah, it's been a while since there were 2 babies crying around here." Caleb said, getting 2 slaps on the back at the same time. "Ouch. Hey. What was that for?" Caleb asked. "We're not babies." Layla and Kayla said. "That's why I said THERE WERE." Caleb said, rubbing his back. "And did you find something suitable?" Kelly asked.

"Yes, we have. The 7 are now geared up for Halloween." Matt said. "Uncle Kelly look. We're Daddy." Levi and Matty said proudly. "You look great." Kelly said. "Daddy, I want to be you too." Benjamin said, tugging at Kelly's shirt. "We're going to go shopping for your Halloween costumes after school tomorrow." Kelly said. "Kiki too?" Benjamin asked. "If he wants." Kelly said, looking at his eldest son. "Why not. But you know you let me go to my school's Halloween party this year." Caleb said. "But Caleb always goes trick-or-treating with us." Layla said. "Yes, I know. But this year I promised him he could go to the party." Kelly said. "I'm going to take a relaxing bath first." Caleb said, going upstairs to his parents' room and soaking in the tub. "Is he all, right?" Sylvie asked. "Yes, they were only in the gym today. Now he doesn't feel his body anymore." Kelly said. "Why is Caleb so crazy about soccer anyway? I mean, soccer isn't exactly America's national sport now." Andrew said. "That's a funny story. We used to go to the park often and we love it. Caleb just learned to walk and since then he has kicked away everything that came towards him or stood in his way." Kelly said. "And what about when he was a baby?" Julian asked. Kelly, Matt and Sylvie looked at each other. "I'll show you. They say a picture is worth a thousand words." Kelly said, pulling a photo album off the bookshelf. He flipped to the first page and pulled a baby photo of Caleb out of the protective sleeve. "That's Caleb?!" Andrew asked in horror. "Yeah, he was 4 months old then." Kelly said. "What the hell happened to him?" Julian asked. "Renee left him in the apartment and went to Europe with her new one. If the neighbors hadn't acted so quickly and called the police, Caleb would have starved to death in the apartment." Kelly said. "Did you know Caleb's background?" Andrew asked Stella. "Yeah, but I've never seen that photo." she said. "What photo?" Caleb asked, now coming into the living room. "The one about you in the hospital." Andrew said. "Dad. I thought we agreed no one would ever see the picture." Caleb said. "Yes, I know. I'm sorry." Kelly said putting the picture back in the protective case.
