Project 863 - The Mystery

~Chapter 13~

Matthias, Quinn, and River had been in Matthias's car going to Location 3 as River listened to the conversation that was happening between the two. "I have no idea what to expect here. Still haven't heard from Woods or Sam. We've tried calling them repeatedly." Matthias explained as Quinn nodded while River sat in the back, beginning to zone out as she looked out the window before hearing Matthias speak about the location. "We're pulling up here maybe like a couple seconds away." Matthias spoke as River nodded looking at him as Matthias spoke again. "Looks like it's down this alley here. Just want to pull into this Alley." Matthias spoke as he nervously laughed as he pulled into the alley and they all walked into the building as Matthias spoke. "I think this is the right place." Matthias spoke as River and Quinn nodded looking at him as Matthias spoke again.

"I'm going to take things really slow. I don't want to set anything off." Matthias spoke as the other two followed Matthias down the stairs. "I'm never prepared for this." Matthias said as he looked at the door as he opened the door going inside with the others following him. "They might not be here." River spoke looking at him as Matthias nodded before hearing the door close behind them as she tried to get the door unlocked but it doesn't work. "Did you just lock us in River??" Matthias asked her as she shook her head scared. "No! It locked us in!" She responded as Matthias sighed before slowly walking through the buildings as River and Quinn followed him through the building. They continued walking starting to hear voices as the group had been able to find Sam and Woods as they smiled going over to them as Sam looked at them surprised and happy before she spoke.

"Wait, how did you guys get in here?" Sam asked as Matthias looked at her as he stood there. "I can't believe you guys are okay." Matthias spoke as Sam looked at him confused while Woods responded to him, "We're fine." Woods responded as Matthias looked at them, "I was about to lose my mind right now." Matthias spoke as Sam started to speak, "Okay we found a lead." Sam spoke as Matthias hugged the two as he spoke. "We are so happy to see you guys." Matthias spoke as Sam spoke again looking at them. "I mean we found something at our first location that lead us here and we decided we really needed to come check it out." Sam spoke as Matthias nodded looking at them as he spoke. "We need to get out of here as soon as possible." Matthias spoke as Woods looked at him as he stood there.

"The door did you leave it ajar?" Woods asked looking at him as Matthias shook his head as Sam spoke looking at him, "It locked us behind too. We tried so many different exits, we sincerely don't know what to do. We have no service down here like we found a lot and I feel like it's worth it." Sam spoke as River nodded looking at them as she hugged both Sam and Woods, glad to be able to see and feel them again after everything as Woods decides to speak. "We found a tape." Woods spoke as Matthias ignored him deciding to speak himself. "Can we just take some stuff we find and just break the door? It's not that difficult." Matthias spoke as River nodded looking at him as Sam shook her head, trying to explain that she didn't think that they could be able to do that. 

"We will get out of here." Woods explained as Sam shook her head looking at him. "But we should watch this." Sam explained as Woods nodded agreeing with her. "No one is here. We should watch this." Woods explained as Sam added on to his statement. "We've been here for a while now but I'm just saying like." Sam spoke as Matthias looked at them as he stood there. "Why do we need to watch this now. Why don't we just take it." Matthias started as Sam responded to him, "I'm just saying. So much evidence has led us here. We've been walking through the space." Sam responded as Matthias panicked when he saw Woods going to hit play as River tried to stop him. "Don't, Don't press play!" River said quickly trying to stop him but it had been too late as Woods presses play.

The door behind them slams shut as a siren would begin to start blaring as Matthias sighed looking at them, "It's a trap." Matthias explained as they heard the screen begin to speak. "Welcome, Deb. As I'm sure you are aware, we've been expecting you. You've foolishly taken them back and now you're caught in a trap. We still intend to have a test of the Pegasus serum however, we will always make do on our promises. We will just be using you instead. In 5 minutes the serum will disperse into the room. Please be advised that the testing facility has been tested for quality, therefore, you shouldn't bother trying to escape the room. I would use the time you have left for reflection and prayers. We will be seeing you once the test has been completed, Nelson sends his regards. Goodbye." The video spoke before transitioning to a counter as Sam freaked out. 

Matthias began to explain everything about the place to Sam and Woods as he, Woods, Sam, Quinn and River attempted to find a way out of the room. "Is there anything in this room you guys noticed that was off?" River asked looking over at them as Woods pointed to something in the corner. "There's this thing." He spoke as Matthias looked at it confused before Woods spoke, "Those are serums." Woods explained as Matthias was surprised as he looked at it. "Was it moving before?" He asked curious as Woods shook his head while Sam responded as well. "No it wasn't. It was still before." Sam explained as Matthias looked at it as he spoke. "Are those both the serums?" Matthias asked as River looked around before speaking. "What did he say in the video? He said that we are going to what... did he say infiltrate the room? disperse the room? What is going to happen??" River asked as Matthias looked at her as he stood there.

"He said disperse..." He responded as Woods responded to the both of them as he stood there. "This is a gas bomb" Woods explained as Matthias gave Sam her's in his pocket as he took the other vials. "We need to prepare for what is going to happen. If that thing goes off you take that." Matthias explained to Quinn as he mentions to the vital in Quinn's hands he had given to him while Matthias gave Woods the other vial as Woods takes his vial while Sam begins to freak out as River stood there watching them as Matthias tried to calm her down and to get her to take the serum as he looked at Quinn and River. "Take yours." He spoke to the two of them as Quinn nodded, taking his while River stood there in silence as she watched Sam take her vial as Matthias turned to River. "Take it." He said in a forceful manner as she looked back at him.

"Matt... I don't have it, I lost mine I don't know how but I cannot find it." River spoke as Sam panicked still as Matthias sighed. "I never had it." He finally spoke to Sam as everyone looked at the two surprised as the room filled with the serum.
