Project 863 - The Mystery

~Chapter 25~

It had been a few days since the incident with the words on the walls in Red Base as more had appeared while everyone ignored it, deciding to work on making changes to the studio as River and Woods decided to head to work in their separate cars. When River arrived to the studio after Woods, she saw him pulling out the mini bike from his car as she laughed looking at him. "Really?" She asked as he nodded laughing before riding it to the studio as she saw Matthias having his camera before he opened the door for the two. "What's up hotshot." Matthias spoke looking at Woods as he responded back to the male, riding his mini bike. "Hey, thanks for opening the door. It took you a while to do it." Woods spoke as Matthias brought up about how it was a fanfic now before everyone laughed as Woods looked at him confused before he spoke. "I was just being a new employee coming here about to leave because of the craziness and saw you. Now I want to be hired again." Matthias spoke as he laughed while standing there as Sam spoke, hearing the conversation.

"Oh gosh." Sam spoke going as they laughed while Woods made more jokes while River left them to go work on something real quick for one of the channels. She had joined the others going to Red Base as they walked in, seeing an arrow pointing in a direction as they got confused as Bailey spoke. "So that wasn't there yesterday." Bailey spoke as they nodded before seeing the wooden board on the wall as everyone got confused before talking about how the Hi5 sign use to be there as Matthias went to check the room where the tape was watched at before seeing nothing there. While checking for a few minutes they had found another arrow that had been in the area of where the smashed server was at for Deb as Sam and everyone else got confused about it while Woods went to see if anything was in the hole that went to the server as they joked about how it was there before Matthias had kicked it down 'many moons ago' 

Matthias had told Bailey to look closer before scaring her which made everyone laugh while Bailey had been unfazed by it as they brought up how it has to be coming through the wall while Bailey nodded agreeing with her before they went looking around as River decided to take the camera from Sam while Matthias continued trying to scare the group as they decided to check out the warehouse, seeing nothing as they left before going to check the red lockers as Sam ended up finding a wig as they joked about it as Matthias decided to go first into the dark room as he continued scaring the group which caused for Sam to hit him as they laughed as Matthias went into the room as Sam decided to get back at him as she closed the door earing Matthias to get spooked as everyone laughed before Sam opened the door as she turned on the lights in the room, seeing that everything was the same as before as they left going to the common location for the base as Bailey decided to speak to them. 

"They way that they are communicating this doesn't make it feel like they would be trying to get actual communication out of it. Feels like someone is trying to contact us. It's all just a vague kind of threatening." Bailey explained as Matthias spoke looking at her. "The problem was that they used way too big letters and could have used more space to elaborate." Matthias spoke to the group as they ended up finding another arrow while everyone went upstairs to check it out as Matthias checked into a room most likely finding it as they went into the room seeing words written on the wall. "Do you fancy me mad? They can write in full sentences oh no." Sam spoke in a joking voice while Matthias chuckled some as Bailey spoke. "Why does the font look scarier than the way it's been." Bailey spoke as River shrugged her shoulders as she spoke. "Who talks like that too?" River asked curious as Matthias shrugged his shoulders before he responded back to her. "It doesn't even matter..." Matthias began as he continued.

"There isn't a camera in here so I don't get a notification for it but I got one for the other things. That's how disorienting it can be when we don't got cameras looking at every stinking wall so there no proof. The door has been closed and no one comes in here, I didn't even know it looked like this in here." Matthias spoke as Bailey spoke about it being a break room as Matthias explained about how it use to be GG's break room as they continued discussing the writing before they went back to Blue Base to talk with Subject 4. When they got back to Matthias's desk at mega desk everyone went to sit down as they looked through reddit posts before he went to post about the writing on the walls as he checked the comments after about 30 minutes as he read a comment out loud. "Idk if it helps in any way but that sentence appears in Edgar Allen Poes's story 'the Tell-Tale Heart.'" Matthias spoke as he pulled up the story online, finding it as he spoke about the sentence he found as he began to summarize it.

"He kills a old man out of fear of his blue eyes, the narrator sneaks into the old guy's house to observe him for 8 nights but kills him on the 8th night out of fear the neighbors would hear the old man's terrified heart beats. The narrator goes on to explain the hide pieces of the body underneath floorboards of the man's bedroom so when the police arrived due to neighbors hearing the mans shrieking, the narrator panics due to police being in the house to be able to hear the pounding of the heart below the floorboard since he was worried the police could hear it. He had ended up confessing to the crime of killing the old man and told the police to rip up the floorboards." Matthias spoke as River shivered, not wanting to ever dream about that in her life as he decided to speak. "We had replaced the flooring in red base, we didn't replace it due to damages we just replace stuff in the common areas." Matthias explained to them as they nodded before deciding to go to Red Base. 

When they got to Red Base Woods had went to get tools to be able to rip the floor up as they all went upstairs as they began to remove the floor as they saw a white outline of something cause for Sam to freak out as she spoke. "It's going to be the outline of where a body was, it's a murder scene." Sam explained as Matthias was able to get more of the floor up as they saw the body outline that was under the floorboards as Sam asked if they had found a murder scene which caused for Matthias to laugh nervously as Bailey asked about the floor being put in over the outline as Matthias shrugged his shoulder while they thought it was a coverup and a syntec murder as they cleaned out the room to get a better view of the outline. "It means someone was killed here and this was a murder scene. This is like the classic chalk crime scene outline. Someone was killed here." Sam spoke as Matthias brought up about how it would be someone else dying which meant another murder for them as Bailey mentioned how someone knew about it as Sam nodded agreeing with her as they continued to discuss how it could have been something from syntec.

Sam had decided to lay in the outline trying to get more knowledge about it but ended up not getting much as Woods spoke to them. "It could just be another clue and there would be more." Wooods explained as Matthias shrugged his shoulders, thinking that they should ask John Doe, since there were other investigations before he emailed John Doe. 'Hey, we discovered an outline of a body in our Red Base unit. Do you know about it or is it new to you?' Matthias emailed him, before hitting send as they sat there with the others as they all looked at the outline.
