Project 863 - The Mystery

~Chapter 34~

It had been a week since the interview with the Syntec survivor as everyone sat there while talking about what happened last week to Subject 4 as he explained how he saw the feedback before explaining how they decided to take a break, change things around as they brought up the sensors that the Syntec survivor brought up and how the absolate supposedly believed that it was keeping Matthias alive as they read comments from people before going to the mega desk to watch clips of the interview as Matthias was about to walk into his office before getting scared as he turned on the light to show a mannequin with Matthias's clothes which caused for him to ask if it was a prank and if Cat did it which she shook her head as they looked at the clothes that the mannequin was wearing as Woods bullied it for a moment before moving it out to the office chair near Cat as she didn't want it but Matt explained he would get rid of it after reviewing the footage before going to Reddit to look at fanmade things before deciding to find electrical panels. 

After leaving the mega desk they found that the mannequin was gone as they thought it was Cat before going to ask her as she shook her head as they looked around to see if they could find what they were looking for when they went into another room they were spooked by another mannequin following them when they turned on the lights in the room as Matthias called Tanner to see if he was doing it but Tanner told him he wasn't before going back to looking through wires and electrical things in the room before going to the orange base to check there but when they were about to go inside, they saw another mannequin at the staircase before they walked towards it confused and spooked about it while Woods messed with it before going back downstairs as he dropped it before scaring everyone. Sam suggested putting it into the closet as Woods nodded before doing that when he walked out they closed the door before going upstairs to check for electrical boards as they found out there were none before going to the warehouse. 

When finding no electrical boards there they decided to go to red base to see if there were any there. When they walked in they heard a noise all getting spooked as they split up to see if they could find where the noise came from as River followed Sam and Bailey. When they got upstairs they went to one of the rooms seeing Cat with a ladder as she spoke. "Sorry, that was the ladder." Cat explained as Sam asked her if it fell before Cat nodded as Sam explained to Woods and Matt who came upstairs that Cat was there to fix the projector as they went to another room, turning on the lights before going into the room where the body outline was, seeing that the mannequin was laying in the spot of the body outline as everyone got spooked. They began to talk about the mannequin had to be the same one they have been seeing the entire time before they talked about how the mannequin got there before quickly going to the orange base to see if the mannequin was there again. When they got to the closet and opened the door, they saw that it was gone as everyone freaked out before going into offices to see if there was one in there. 

They ended up going to the first room in red base, checking the panels there as they saw there was nothing there related to it before going to the warehouse when Woods walked past it about to go in he freaked out going to walk away as they all got confused before looking into the warehouse, seeing the mannequin in the mountaineer as they ran upstairs to see if the mannequin was on the ground, getting scared as they ran in, seeing it was gone before going to the blue base mega desk to go watch the cameras as River decided to stay behind to watch the mannequin from the warehouse in the red base as she got into a call with them. She listened to them talk as she stood by the door before hearing them get spooked as Matthias explained to her how the mannequin just appeared at the mountaineer as she stood there. "Nah that's spooky." She mumbled as she watched the mannequin while standing in the red base warehouse. 

 She stood there for a few moments before seeing it move its head to look at the camera as everyone including River got scared as she spoke to them on the phone. "Hey so uh, is there a chance for me to quit and move to another state now? Or am I too late?" River spoke over the phone as Matthias chuckled slightly before he spoke as River went back to blue base, to avoid the mannequin. When she got back to blue base, she stood outside hearing everyone scream, figuring that they had replayed the video again as she stood in the corner, watching everyone freak out as she stood there quietly, trying to not freak out herself as she messed with the sleeves of her shirt.
