Project 863 - The Mystery

Everyone was sitting in the orange base as they looked at the information they found yesterday before going over everything that happened the day before trying to find out what to do with the document and the information they found as Sam spoke. "This is the only hard evidence we have that the Spire is a real thing," Sam explained as everyone nodded before Bailey talked about the project change form as Matthias nodded before he spoke. "So the Spire disperses an antidote," Matthias explained as they continued talking about it before deciding to go to Mega desk as they took a picture of the document before sending a message to the discord about it to ask Subject 4 what they should do before Woods goes and gets the device as everyone followed Matthias to the kitchen so he could make coffee as they talked about what to do with the Spire. "I think we should turn it on honestly," Sam explained as River nodded agreeing with her as Matthias continued making his coffee as they talked about it as he spoke. "I don't need evaluation to get the truth," Matthias responded before wondering where was Woods as he made his coffee. 

Woods came back with something on his face which made River chuckle some as he carried the device as they looked at it. "Looks made and beat up," Matthias explained as Woods nodded agreeing with him as they looked at it, seeing a map type of thing before they asked about why would it be in the wall in the first place. Matthias explained how it must be useless since they don't have anything to really plug it into as they discussed putting it into the safe until they could find anything useful with it Woods nodded going to the safe as the others went to the mega desk to see if they had any responses on the discord server as they saw that they had a bunch of people to respond to it. They looked at the responses that they got from Subject 4 while giving their own thoughts as a group on it as Matthias spoke. "Maybe the spire project is the reason for Wes' death? I mean the commencing date is on 08-06-30. Deb has only wanted the spire stopped, at any cost, almost from the beginning. Maybe she knew it would be corrupted by Nelson. They had sensors everywhere, there was no way Nelson hadn't already learned about this project behind his back. Not to mention the document was never destroyed like it was supposed to be. All the secret codes weren't enough to hide it, keep in mind, we've learned what the codes meant so what says that Nelson couldn't have found out just as easily. Deb reached out and killed Wes, Just a possibility."

"That's really interesting," Bailey spoke looking at the screen as River nodded agreeing with her as they continued talking about how Nelson corrupted the spire and how the document was about how it changed to change about it dispersing with the antidote as they talked about the document about how Scott would leave peppermints as everyone was just curious and confused about it. After reading messages from Subject 4 they decided to go upstairs to turn on the RSD as they looked at it scanned the area before seeing three dots as they got confused, zooming in realizing it was Ben since he was in prison as everyone looked at the other dot confused. "It could be Matt and River," Sam explained as River looked at her confused as Matthias spoke. "I'm not feeling any adverse effects like I did before," Matthias explained as River nodded agreeing with him as Sam nodded before she responded back to him. "But active, how active? What does the active serum do?" Sam asked as River shrugged her shoulders looking at her as River realized something. "Wait, doesn't that mean the thing is following us? Me, Matt, and Ben?" River asked as Matthias got hit with that realization too as he stood there surprised. 

"How about you two go to orange base, have a good amount of distance, and see if anything changes." Woods explained as River and Matthias nodded before getting into a call as the two left going to orange base while River and Matthias listened to the call as the two walked their different ways as Woods spoke. "Rescanning." He said into the call as they rescanned, seeing that on the RSD it was tracking exactly where River and Matthias was as Woods explained it to them before the two went back to Blue base being surprised. "So we have to keep the RSD safe. Otherwise whoever gets their hands on it will know where we are." River explained to him as he nodded agreeing with her as she noticed him acting more different than how he normally acts as she got confused. When they got into the building River was able to hear the group whispering about something as she got confused before following Matthias upstairs. When they got upstairs the group stopped whispering as Matthias went into the vault to look at the RSD as he scanned it again before seeing a bunch of other dots which made everyone surprised. "It could be serum we ended up not collected." River told them as they nodded while Matthias shook his head as he spoke.

"This could be Syntec sites we didn't go to." Matthias explained as he turned to the camera before seeing that there was a park near a high school before deciding to go to the location as everyone got into Matthias's car as he began driving there. They talked about how there could be a hidden bunker somewhere thinking that it would be a Syntec location before discussing how it all of a sudden appear when they didn't see it on the RSD before. When they got to the park everyone got out of the car to look around to see if they could find it as they went to a bench where a guy was sitting at. When the guy moved away from them Matthias had called Chanel to tell her to refresh the RSD as she explained to Matthias on the phone that the dot they were looking for had moved and the area it use to be in wasn't there anymore. They began walking into the direction of where the dot had went as they realized it was around a dude who they had seen last time at the bench sitting at another bench as they tried checking around the area. 

The man ended up getting frustrated with the group bothering him so he got up leaving them as Matthias went back to put his phone to his ear as Chanel explained how it was walking away from the group as Matthias was able to put two and two together. While on the phone, he began pointing in the direction the man before was walking away as he was surprised before he spoke. "It worked, the bomb went off. Everyone is infected."
