~Chapter 48~

The next day River was at the studio already working on editing for Dope or Nope with Bailey as Matthias walked in before he spoke to the two. "Bailey, River, have you two been able to solve it?" Matthias asked talking about the puzzle as River and Bailey shook their head before Bailey responded to him. "No. I mean she didn't give you any clues at all?" Bailey asked looking at him as Matthias shook his head which made River speak up as she sat there. "Could it have something to do with the dominoes? Or do you think that was just-" River started as Matthias caught on to what she was talking about before responding to her. "It's possible, good idea. I didn't think about that. What did she say? Dominoes will fall but they will pull you towards the truth. Where do you get dominoes?" Matthias spoke as River decided to respond to him with a joke as she sat there. "Dominos store!" River responded which made Matthias laugh as he held the camera recording that interaction that happened as Matthias began to speak. "I'm gonna wait until the rest of the team gets in. Maybe they've had some insight, if not we'll just put our heads together and solve it." Matthias spoke as he saw Sam walking downstairs which made him turn to her as he spoke.

"Sam, any luck?" Matthias asked following her as River went back to working she quietly listened to Matthias and Sam speak to one another as she would listen to their conversation talking about the clues and how Matthias went so calm with the call as Matthias went to Woods to ask him about it before the two went to the front to talk more about it and the riddle as Matthias him and Sam was able to figure it out as River stood with Sam trying to get the camera as he spoke. "I figured we could just try and uh pow-wow together as a team to figure out..." Matthias started as Sam continued with what he was talking about. "To figure out any sort of meeting time, location, anything," Sam explained looking at him as Matthias nodded agreeing with her Matthias explained to the two how he wrote everything she had said out but would want to go through it with the rest of the team as River and Sam agreed as River went to join Matthias while Sam went to get the camera together as they talked about the pow wow situation. 

Everyone laughed before going back to the common area as everyone sat down while Matthias went on his phone to pull up the conversation. They decided to go into the break room to write everything down as they made Woods write it on the chalkboard. They were able to write down things like, golden, longer than you think, friends in high places [GOV], quarters, and many others as everyone stood there discussing it. The group had been able to figure that it could be on gold valley road as Matthias explained the road to everyone as to how it was the longest road as they discovered about the payphone being there and how quarters would be at the payphone. They decided to wait until 2 so everyone began to go back to work as River went to her office to be able to edit some videos she wasn't able to finish. When it hit 2 River heard everyone getting up from their things as she went downstairs to hear the others talk about grapes as she chuckled some before going to grab her phone she somehow left behind as Matthias and Sam joined Woods and Bailey outside.

When River got outside, she watched Matthias try to throw the grape in Woods's mouth getting it in as everyone laughed before beginning to walk to Matthias's car they got into his car and drive to the location as Sam began to speak. "I think we are forgetting that Deb said if she doesn't show up someone worse will." Sam explained as River nodded agreeing with her as Matthias sighed before he responded to her, "Did she say someone worse?" Matthias asked confused as he drove as River responded to him. "The tone around it was that it's not good." River spoke as Matthias continued to drive while Woods went to speak as he sat there. "I'm just glad that it's like in the middle of a crowded street," Woods mentioned as he motioned to the street they were on while Bailey responded to him as she sat in the back. "But if these are people who have been hunting her and John Doe..." Bailey began as Matthias got confused as he drove before speaking, "I thought that was Nelson? I thought that Nelson was hunting John Doe." Matthias asked confused as River shrugged her shoulders looking at them as they continued discussing related topics.
