Levi's POV
I was in my office filling out what seemed endless paperwork.
There was a knock at my door.
"Come in" I grumbled.
I just peered up briefly to see who had come in. To my inner relief it was just Haza.
Haza was my secret girlfriend. Not that I wanted to hide our relationship but those brats didn't need to know anything about my personal life.
"Hi grumpy" she said coming over. She set a cup of tea on my desk.
"Did you make it?" I asked.
"Mmhmm" she hummed nodding.
I scowled. "You always make my tea too weak."
I heard her grumble under her breath. I smirked down at my paperwork and made sure she didn't see it.
"If you don't like it don't drink it asshole." Haza was a strong willed woman with a foul mouth, but very kind nature. Getting to know her she confused the hell out of me. I had assumed she'd be more quiet like Mikasa, but becoming closer realized she was quiet loud and possibly more like shitty-glasses. But not crazy.
"Tch" I said.
She leaned down and kissed my neck.
I pulled back immediately. "Don't you dare!" I warned her in a cold tone.
Haza liked to play a game. She'd act all innocent and kiss my neck and then before I knew it I had a noticeable hickey on my neck. Then everyone would see it and wonder where I got it from.
She giggled kissing my neck again. "I won't. I'm just saying goodnight." She left my neck and stood behind me, leaning her chin on top of my head. "Do you think you'll finish soon and join me before I fall asleep?"
I huffed. I still had a big stack to do. "Probably not" I said lowly.
She sighed and I felt her slump against me. I knew my work sometimes but a toll on our relationship but lately I think it was becoming more.
"Okay" she said sadly. "I'll see you in the morning."
Haza left after that, walking defeatedly out of my office.
I watched her leave feeling bad. At night was really the only time we had to be together. During the day was too risky.
I sat back in my chair and took a sip of the tea she made me. It was much better than her previous batches. It was actually very good.
I suppose I let things fizzle between Haza and I. When we first started dating we used to watch that stars at night. Then when we couldn't do that we'd simply sit in bed and talk. We hadn't done either of those things in a while.
Feeling determined, I decided to do the rest tomorrow. Haza was more important.

I went to my room and was saddened to see Haza curled up in bed, asleep. I went over to her and watched her slow breathing to make sure she was asleep.
She was.
I brushed a finger over her face.
Her eyes fluttered open and she sleepily met my eyes. "Levi?" She asked in a tired voice. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing" I said quietly. "I just wanted to tell you your tea actually tasted good."
She turned over, giving me her back. "That not funny short-stack. You know I don't like jokes when I'm tired."
I chuckled lowly. "I'm being serious. There may still be hope for you."
"Shut up" she grumbled.
I chuckled and pecked her cheek. I stripped quickly, putting my dirty clothes where they belonged and crawled into bed with her.

The next day everyone was working on their chores. I saw Haza carrying a large sack and looking to be struggling with it. I was about to go help her when Jean beat me to it.
I glared at him flirting with my girlfriend. Trying to impress her with the shitty pencils he called arms.
Jean took the sack from her and carried it along with the box he'd already been carrying.
My eyes watched them like a hawk as they walked towards the door. He said something and then she giggled. I clenched my teeth, thinking of further flattening that horse's face.

At dinner I walked into the mess hall, fighting off a headache after a meeting with Hanji. Her loud obnoxious voice had my ears ringing.
All I wanted was to eat and have Haza run her fingers through my hair and talk about the trivial things of her day. Those times were the absolute best, though I'll never tell her that.
I was walking up an aisle to see her seated with Jeager and his friends. Jean, that horse faced ass, was on her right and Armin was on her left. She looked up as I passed and I met her black eyes. They didn't look right. They seemed distant.
My insides went cold.
I grabbed food and then went back to where she sat. "Main, I need to speak with you."
She nodded and stood up. She followed me to and empty table and we sat down across from each other. She'd left her food back at the other table.
"What's wrong Levi?" She asked.
I loved my name being called in her voice.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked.
"Nothing" she lied.
I narrowed my eyes at her but the conversation was cut short by that damn shitty glasses coming over.
"Haza!" she cried. She sat down next to my girlfriend and grinned at her. "How have you been?"
"Good Hanji" Haza replied. "How are you?"
"I'm good. I'd be better though if you'd get Sargent Shrimp here to let me experiment in Eren." She bat her eyelashes at Haza and pleaded with her eyes.
"Sorry Hanji but I agree with Levi."
"How about you then?" Hanji offered.
"Over my dead body are you getting your creepy hands on Haza" I growled.
Hanji smirked at me and my defensive response. "You wouldn't happen to be partial to Cadet Main would you Captain?"
Hanji had a stupid notion that I had a thing for Haza. She was right I do, but she didn't need to know that.
I scoffed. "We need all our cadets to stay alive and your experiment aren't conducive to that. Now beat it shitty glasses. I need to talk with her."
"Oh? Something private I can't hear about?"
"I said beat it!" I growled.
Hanji left cackling like a mad woman.

At training the next day I had the cadets spar to keep up their skills. At pairing off Jean jumped over Haza nearly tackling her to be her partner. I glared at him and debated about sending him to clean the stables.
I was watching over the brat Eren sparing with Sasha.
Moving on I then saw Jean go behind Haza. He was too damn close as he moved her arms to hold her sword better. I lost it when he gripped the back of her knee and moved her leg. My heart was pounding so fast I nearly broke a rib.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I growled loudly.
Jean looked at me like a deer in a trap. "Umm I was showing Haza how she could better hold herself and her sword" Jean said.
"I'm doing the teaching around here. I don't want you showing her some dumb moves that'll get her killed." I'm not sure what I was even yelling at him for but I was damn well pissed he had the nerve to touch my woman. "Twenty laps around the estate!" He just stared at me shocked. "Now!" I yelled.
He took off breaking away from Haza.
The grounds were silent as everyone had stopped to stare at my scolding to Jean.
"Get back to training!" I yelled.

I dismissed them from training when they looked worn. "You can go. But not you Main! You stay here."
They all gave Haza looks of sympathy a she stood still staring down at the ground.
When they were all gone I walked up to her. I lifted her chin and finally saw her face. She had a huge grin on her face.
"What are you smiling about?" I asked.
"It's nothing. Just that I found something cuter on you than those cat ears."
I grimaced at the mention of the dreaded cat ears. Haza had bought them for me as a Halloween costume but kept them even through all my growling. I hated wearing them but whenever I did Haza almost never left my side. They for some reason entranced her.
"And what would that be?" I asked curious. I was wearing nothing new.
"Jealousy" she said smugly.
I was taken back. "I'm not jealous" I protested.
She took a step back, her smirk widening. "Then I'll just go run some laps with Jean."
I grabbed her wrist. "You stay away from that shitty horse. He's after my woman."
She chuckled. "Don't worry Levi." with her other hand she grabbed mine that was holding her wrist. I let go and she held my hand briefly. "I'm not interested. I've got my own short-stack of pancakes."
I gave her a small smile.
She let go of my hand. "I didn't know you cared so much." She started to walk away.
But I grabbed her wrist again. "Do you really mean that?" I asked. I stared deeply into her eyes.
Her playfulness quickly turned serious.
"Mean what?"
"That you didn't know I cared?" Our eyes locked in an intense stare. "You know I love you."
She came closer. "Of course I do Levi. I was just joking." She wrapped her arms around me. "What s gotten into you? You seem frazzled which is definitely unlike you."
I exhaled loudly. "I was just thinking the other night that...I've been very busy. I haven't spent the time I should have with you and I felt bad. If you were with someone like Jean he'd devote all his time to you."
I felt her smile. "Don't be ridiculous Levi. I understand your busy. I am willing to wait for you."
I thought over her words.
"If that's what you're worried about there is a way we could be together more." I looked up at her curious.

I kicked the door to the mess hall open. All the recruits looked at me shocked. Loudly I said, "Haza and I are dating. No one touches her, she's mine!"
Haza giggled next to me.
I hoped this made things easier. And now maybe I wouldn't get so jealous again.
