Happy Diwali and Subho bhoot choturdoshi my dear readers have a safe and sound festive day
Sheryaar's pov
"Assalam o alikum phuppa jaan (hello uncle)" I greeted him as I found Marium's father
"Chote nawab aap yahan? Wa alikum Assalam (Young nawab you here? Hello)" he replied immediately nervously
He was not expecting me here obviously he was not supposed to because people like me do not come into places like this. It is out of my standard but still I am here why? For my jaan. I can do anything for her and her happiness. This thing is very less in front of the things I plan to do for her.
"Aj apki beti ka 5 wa Janamdin hai, hai na? (today is your daughter's 5th birthday is not it?)" I asked him
My abba jaan also came behind with clear distaste on his face.
He hates coming here but I needed him here for my own reasons so I can not help him in this matter.
" Nawab sahab? " he asked bewildered seeing my father
" Hum yaha ek kam ke liye aye hai Farukh! Umeed hai tum hamara Waqt zaya nahi karoge (I am here for a work farukh i hope you will not waste my time)" Abba jaan told him and he nodded even though he is not understanding anything about the things happening around him
" Ham aap ke liye kya kar sakte nawab sahab? (what can i do for you nawab?)" he asked
" Ham Marium se nikah karna chahte hai (I want to marry Marium)" I said without beating around the bush
I am a straightforward person who says everything without beating around the bush. I do not like to twist or sugar coat things.
" Sher! Hum baat kar rahe hai na beech me kyu bol rahe hai ap? Ap abhi bhi is baat ke layak nahi bane hai yaad rakhiye ga (Sher! I am talking right then why are you talking in between? You are not eligible for doing that yet remember that)'' he scolded me and I kept silent
Because he is actually right I should keep my mouth shut on this matter when elders are talking. But what to do? My over enthusiastic heart is not helping my situation at all. Because of that I forgot about every custom and rules.
" Hamein maf kar dein ap abba jaan (forgive me father)" I apologised for my behaviour
"Jaisa ki Sher ne kaha hum chahte hai ki tumhari beti hamare bete ki begum ban ke aye hamari haweli me (As Sher said I want your daughter to come to my mansion and become my son's bride.)" Abba jaan said and I noticed his face
It is grim as expected but what I did not expected that was Marium's father's face. It looked like he saw a ghost in day light only.
I thought he would be happy that the nawab himself wants his daughter for his family and feel blessed but here I am witnessing something else only.
"Par aisa kaise mumkin hai nawab sahab? Marium mehez 5 baras ki hai aise kaise ham nikah karade? Aur chote Nawab bhi to umra ke nahi hai abhi (but how is it possible nawab? Marium is just 5. How can I get her married now? And young nawab is not of the age yet as well.) " He said with lines of worry on his forehead
This is not supposed to be like this! He is not supposed to question our marriage. He should feel blessed that I want to marry his daughter despite having so much difference between us. It is a different case that I love her and wish to make her my life partner.
" Farukh ham nikah tai karne aaye hai parwane nahi. Aur jab Marium umra ki hogi tabhi nikah hoga. Waise bhi khush kismat ho tum ki hamare bete ne tumhari beti ko chuna hai warna larkio ki kami nahi thi hamare bete ke liye jo Marium se behtar hai to uske liye tumhe hamara sukraguzar hona chahie (Farukh i came here to fix the marriage not to do the marriage and when Marium will be an adult then only the marriage will take place. You are lucky that my son chose your daughter other wise there are many other options for my son better than Marium and for that you should be thankful) "Abba jaan said to him and he looked down
