Marium's pov

I have come out of the shop, hiding from my ammi jaan, to say that I am going to meet Zain alone. She would have never allowed me to do so. I am waiting for him, but this guy is nowhere to be seen.

5 minutes more, and I am leaving after that. If Ammi Jaan gets to know about this, I am as good as dead.

"Zyada intezaar to nahi karwaya Humne? (did I made you wait for too long?)" I heard Zain asking me as he came in front me

After so long, he's got time to meet me, huh! When he is the one who asked me to come here. But as always, he is looking so handsome! Oh Allah, I will die because of him one day.

"Bahut zyada! Humein to laga puri zindagi yahi nikal jayegi hamari! Ab jaldi bolo kya kehna hai Humein wapis bhi jana hai (very much! I thought my whole life would pass here! Now tell me quickly what you want to say. I need to go back as well." I told him and he just shook his head

"Maafi chahte hai intezar karane ke liye. Humein tumse apne dil ka haal bayan karna hai Marium. Humein mohabbat ho gayi hai aur uska name M se suru hota hai (I apologise for making you wait. I wanted to share the condition of my heart with you, Marium. I am in love with someone who's name starts with M)" He said and I looked at him shocked

He is really telling me that he is in love with someone else. Oh Allah! He really loves someone else and I was… No No stop Marium; you should not think about it any more.

Why is he saying this? What does he mean by it's too late? Is she dead? Oh Allah! I just hope she is safe and sound.

"kyu? Kya hua hai? Kyu der ho gayi hai? (why? What happened? Why is it late?)" I asked him concerned

"kyunki abba jaan ne Humse bina puche hamara nikah tay kar diya unki dost ke beti se. 6 mahine bad hamara nikah hai usse (because my father has fixed my marriage without asking me with his friend's daughter. After 6 months I will get married to her)" he replied looking straight in my eyes

What? Is it for real? He is getting married in six months? Or is he joking? He has a bad habit of pranking others. It's not one of them, right?

"Tum mazak to nahi kar rahe ho na? (you are not joking right?)" I asked him and he smiled in response

The smile told me that he was not joking because there was pain hidden behind it.

"Apne abba jaan se baat karo wo zarur samjhenge tumhe. Zabardasti to nahi karenge tumse hai na? (Talk to your father; he will definitely understand you. He won't force you isn't it?) "I asked him even though I highly doubt if it will work or not
