"Bhai jaan Hume nahi pata tha ki apke ghar me Humein aise beizzat hona padega. (Brother, I didn't know that I would get humiliated after coming into your home)" Amina said with tears in her eyes, looking at the door where a confused Sheryaar was standing, making Marium turn around and face her husband.

In a moment, Amina changed her facial expression and started shedding her crocodile tears. Marium was too shocked to even understand what's going on.

Sheryaar just came into the room to meet her after knowing that Amina had come, but the scene in front of him kind of confused him. Marium was refusing to do something, but he didn't know what.

"Kya hua hai Amina? Tum ro kyu rahi ho?( What happened, Amina? Why are you crying?)" Sheryaar asked and Amina literally ran towards him and hugged him

Sheryaar wasn't comfortable with her hugging him; he has told her many times, but she never listens to him.

Marium looked at both of them, expecting Sheryaar to break the hug as it was not appropriate, but he never did that. Even though he tried, Amina didn't let him.

"Apki biwi ne Humein zaleel kiya hai. Humne unse kaha ki hum thak gaye hai to hamare kapre nikal dengi wo unhone saaf mana kar diya Humein. Kehti hai ki wo meri kaniz nahi hai jo ye sab karengi. Aur ye bhi kaha ki hum mehman hai mehman ki tarah hi rahe. (Your wife has humiliated me. I told her that I was tired, and could you please take out my clothes for me, but she denied it on my face. She said that she is not my maid who will do this work of mine, and she even said that I am a guest, so I should behave like a guest)" Amina lied without a trace of it on her face

No one can even guess that she is lying so smoothly. Marium gasped at her words as her eyes widened, understanding that she was deliberately trying to frame her.

Sheryaar gave Marium a look, and at that moment, Amina broke the hug as well. Sheryaar walked into the room and slapped Marium hard on her face without giving her a chance to say anything in her defense.

Marium stilled in her place, as it was the first time he raised his hand on her. She touched her lips and found blood in the corner. No wonder her lower lip is bleeding because the hand he used on her has a ring on. The metal made a cut on her lip.

He has verbally abused her many times, but this is the first time he hit her.

Pulling her hairs in a tight grip he said

"Apni aukat me reh! Tu kaniz hai aur sabke sare kam tujhe karne padenge Jo bhi tujhe karne kaha jayega. Ab tune jab ye gustakhi kar hi di hai to saza to milegi aj tera khana band tu kuch nahi khayegi kal raat tak. Agar maine dekha tujhe khate hue zaban kat dunga mai teri. Maafi mang Amina se abhi ke abhi. (Stay within your limits! You're a maid, and you have to do everyone's work, whatever they will ask you to do. Now that you have committed a mistake, you will be punished for it. You won't eat anything before tomorrow night. If I see you eating anything, I will chop off your tongue. Now, I apologize to Amina right now.)" Sheryaar ordered Marium harshly

Marium just swallowed her words of denial of the accusations. She will not say anything! Because he won't believe it, why waste time? If he was fair enough, he would have asked her first about the whole incident and then done something. He slapped her and punished her without listening to her side of the story, so telling him things is useless.

"Humein maaf kar dijiye. Hum apka sara kam kar denge. (Please forgive me; I will do your every chore.)" Marium said lowering her eyes

She wanted to cry, but somehow she felt her tears getting dry; not a single drop of water came out.
