We stayed that way for a while, Daniel telling me what he had gotten up to, and I told him what I had done. Daniel straightened up, getting my attention. He went under the covers and laid down, I joined him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt Daniels hands on my back and neck, pulling me into a passionate kiss. After several minutes we stopped and went back to sleep.

I woke up and noticed Gretchen was still breathing in slowly and asleep, I wrapped my arms around Gretchens waist. I looked over to the time and saw it was 7. I manged to sit up and made sure Gretchen was still asleep. I pulled the blankets over Gretchen. She tries hard in school, and is known to stay up late.

I stood up and got changed and tried to cook some breakfast for Gretchen and I. I managed to not over cook the scrambled eggs and placed them on the table.
I had just stood up when Gretchen came down wearing what I assumed was a dark aqua dress, the hem reaching her shins. She was also wearing a light brown woollen turtleneck sweater, her hair combed out, so it was neat and what she calls 'presentable'. Honestly, she looks just fine when she has a bed head. Her hair has some light waves, some locks of hair being feral, but it still seemed neat.

"I made breakfast for you" I explained to Gretchen. Gretchen nodded and had a tired smile.
After breakfast Gretchen stood and a heated some leftovers, that being cut up sausage and some Sauerkraut and put it into a thermos along with some cutlery.

"This is just something to eat if you get hungry, I'll meet you at the times at 11 for lunch, I'll wait till your break to start your break" She explained before I went to her and I kissed her hair.
"I'll be finishing work early, since I'll be going to a Christmas party with the other reporters at the Times, we are getting some more information about it" I explained, resting my hand on her hip. Gretchen nodded and kissed my chin, something that she had started doing recently since she would have to go on her toes to reach my lips, something I didn't mind most of the time, since she'll also kiss my jaw, cheek, temple, lips, and depending on the height difference.

I left for work and walked there, having my messenger bag on my shoulder that had some papers and the thermos in it.
We had been given more information about the Christmas party, like time and location.

Once it was time for luncheon, I saw Gretchen sitting on the stairs waiting for me. We walked to Potters Field Park and sat to down "You said you'll get more information on the party?" Gretchen asked me, handing me a sandwich and resting her head on my left shoulder, not seeming to mind how bony my left arm is. I love how much she admires my arm, it's bringing up my confidence, she's told me it's because it reminds her of how brave I am, and she will do anything to help with my pain. While I don't understand her logic, it feels nice to have someone who loves everything about me, good and bad.

I sighed "We've been told we are going to have dinner at Strongroom Bar. We'll probably be out till midnight, so I apologise if I wake you up or anything. Don't wait up, I'll be ok, I'll probably not drink, or not much at least, since you've mentioned how I act when I'm under the influence" I explained to her, resting my head on hers. I took a bite of the sandwich, remembering when we first moved in together, she was asking if her cooking was good, since she seemed very self-conscious about it.

Gretchen chuckled "I'm guess two drinks would be fine for you, maybe don't push more than 4 or you might no longer be tipsy" Gretchen muttered "And drink lot's of water, and in small amounts. It's a good way to reduce hung-overs" Gretchen explained.
