Daniel wrapped his arms around my waist, "I'll make dinner, you can sleep," Daniel whispered into my ear before kissing my neck.
I looked to him, "What are you doing?" I said, turning around, wrapping my arms around his neck.
Daniel chuckled, "Nothing," he said before letting me go. Daniel went to the kitchen and started to cook a fairly simple meal, or I hope it is.

26th of August

I woke and with a sore throat and a cough. I sat up and groaned, why did I have to run home on Saturday?
"Gretchen?" Daniel yawned, turning over to face me.
I looked at him, he hadn't even opened his eyes, I sighed, "I'm sick..." I coughed.

Daniel sat up, his head in his hands, "I'll call your university," he yawned.
I shook my head, "No, I'll do it later..." I mumbled, looking at the time.
I sat up and put my robe on, slipped my shoes and went to the kitchen. I heard Daniel walking behind me.

He pushed me aside from the table, "While you're sick, I'll do the cooking, since we've been cooking together, my cooking is now eatable," he chuckled.
I smiled, making my way to the table as Daniel made breakfast.

We had a simple toast, beans and half a sausage each. I tried some and nodded, "You have done a good job," I coughed.
Daniel nodded and we finished eating.

Daniel ended up making his own lunch since I was sick. After half an hour, Daniel edited some reports he was working on when I called my university saying I'm sick and my work as well.

After another hour I had to tell Daniel to leave more work before he was late, "Gretchen, can you come with me?" he asked.
I started him, "Why? It's an odd request," I commented.
Daniel smirked, "Since you're sick and at home, it'd be nice to have some company."

I sighed, "Fine, I have to get changed first," I said, giving in. I quickly went upstairs and changed into a white button-up blouse with a U-neck neckline and a faded blue button-up skirt that reached my shins. I quickly put on a belt and a pink knitted cardigan with lace-up boots. I quickly put my hair in a twist and a cloche-like hat.

I went downstairs and saw Daniel adjusting his messenger bag strap, "Ready to go?" he asked.
I nodded and walked to the door. We started to walk towards his work. We got to the front desk and Daniel told me about his lunch break and when he finishes work.

Daniel quickly pecked my forehead before going into the office, the lady at the office, Miss Elizabeth Johnstone, looked up, "Miss Whitestone, you don't often come here with Daniel," she commented, her dark eyebrows in a questioning expression.

I nodded, coughing before I could speak, "Yeah, I'm currently sick, and Daniel wanted me to come here with him since we don't do so often," I muttered, feeling my voice starting to crack from my cold.

Miss Johnstone nodded, "I see, you rest well," she said before I left and started to walk home. I made some lunch for myself and cleaned the house until it was time for me to meet up with Daniel.

I walked back to the London Times and waited for Daniel in the lobby. After a minute Daniel came out. We had a quick meal before we split.
I got home and went back to our house and sat on the couch patting Hunter. Eventually, my eyes got heavy.
