Frau and Herr Cohen went to their room while the girls stayed down "What do you girls need?" Daniel asked.
"We want to learn more English. Since we are going stay in England, we should, and so we can go to school and get jobs in the future," Mathilde explained.
Daniel and I shared a look "I guess we could teach you, and we can give you the German to English dictionary," Daniel explained.

The next morning I woke up and quickly got changed and looked at my fiancé who was asleep beside me. I smiled slightly and kissed his forehead. I looked at the time, 5:37, Daniel and his family wouldn't be awake for a while. I didn't want to turn a light on, since it was early, and with so many people living in our house, the bills have gone up, so I just used a candle.

I decided to set up some basic translations for the Cohens. I got a book and put a line through the middle, one side, English, the other German.

Hello- Hallo
How are you?- Wie geht es dir?
I am fine and you?- Mir geht es gut und dir?
How old are you?- Wie alt bist du?
One- Eins
Two- Zwei
Three- Drei
Four- Vier
Five- Fünf
Six- Sechs
Seven- Sieben
Eight- Acht
Nine- Neun
Ten- Zehn
Sixteen- Sechzehn
Seventeen- Siebzehn
Eighteen- Achtzehn
Nineteen- Neunzehn
Twenty- Zwanzig
Twenty one- Einundzwanzig
Forty seven- Siebenundvierzig
Forty nine- Neunundvierzig
Good morning- Guten Morgen
Good afternoon- Guten Nachmittag
Good bye- Auf Wiedersehen

I also wrote a few other things, but this was the basics, their ages, and things used in everyday life. I wrote a total of six copies, one for everyone, and one for me to keep. I was started when I saw the time being 7. I sighed and blew the candle out, before turning the light on, and started to cook breakfast.

I was halfway through when I heard footsteps that I had already recognised as Frau Cohens. I looked up to her, "Good morning, Frau Cohen. Did you sleep well?" I asked, trying to make conversation.
She didn't answer, "Well... What have you been doing, I swear I heard foot steps earlier." She said coldly.

I bit back a sigh, "You wouldn't be wrong. I woke up a while ago, I've just written out some translation sheets for you and your family, so you learn English. Although, I must ask, what's going to be your story?" I asked, looking to her.

She stared at me, confused. "You see, you can't say that you don't look like Daniel, you are clearly close family. Since Daniel and I have false names, we have a false story. Mine is that Alfred and the Whitestones are my relatives on my mothers side, second cousins, so thats why we don't look alike. As for Daniel, we've kept our actual story, he left Germany with me, since Germany is becoming such a dangerous place for a Jew, he doesn't return, and he moved with me, since we were in relationship for a year, of course there some lies to match my story, as you'd expect. So, what's your story, and what changes are you going to make? There doesn't have to be any drastic changes, all you have to do is change your surname, and the rest of the story the same, having slight changes so it can fits with mine, and the small changes in Daniels..." I trailed.
She exhaled sharply, "Than what do you suppose?" she snapped.

"Keep it as it is," I said simply. "Your past the same, you can choose to make yourself a year younger, that's what Daniel and I have done. Or at least for Mathilde, if she is ok with it. You can't say she and Daniel are twins, there's only a month difference, I don't want to mess with the timeline much, so if you see someone you know, your story still fits," I explained.
"You can say, you missed Daniel, and due to the situation in Germany, you decide to move here, which wouldn't be far from the truth, am I mistaken?" I asked.

Frau Cohen looked mad, "And you made all that up?" she asked.
"More or less. There's been times when Daniel has wondered what it'd be like if you guys were here, so I guess I've half made up a story for it? In the end of the day, it's your choice, and you should talk it over with your family. It's messy, I know, I have to lie to the Whitestone boys, only Colin has a clue about it. Only why were are here, some of my past, no details..." I muttered. "I don't want to fight with you, and I understand our views clash, but please try to understand that I won't purposely get in the way of your faith, or Daniels. I want to respect your wishes, but there are a few things that I won't change. The main one being that Daniel and I are engaged, or my past. One is out of control, it can't be changed, only lied about, the other, it's impossible to ask to change. If Daniel wants to break up, I can't control that, it's his life. I'd like to know why, but it's his choice in the end of the day," I explained.
