Daniel reached across the table and grabbed my hand, "Gretchen," he said sternly, "I won't talk to either party, let us try to forget about this for now," Daniel added sternly.

I turned back to him and saw his soft smile. I felt the corner of my lip tilt upwards. I nodded and returned to my meal. After dinner, we walked back home and decided to go to sleep straight away, as we had a busy day.

July 18th

I woke up to Daniel hugging me, I turned to Daniel, "Happy 21st" Daniel muttered, bringing our lips together. I pulled back slightly and sat up, Daniel sat up and pulled me into a hug, "I'll make breakfast, you can get changed in your own time," he explained.

I smiled and got changed before going downstairs, Daniel was cooking breakfast, and surprisingly wasn't burning it. I made sure to make sure that he didn't overcook, or undercook the meal.

We brought our breakfast to the table. I started to eat, Daniel looked like he was trying to suppress a grin, "You know you can't propose twice, right?" I laughed.
Daniel looked startled, "Propose? What makes you say that?" he asked.
I looked to him, "You have that grin, Daniel, the one you have when you are hiding something like a surprise, or good news, like when you proposed, and when you got me Hunter, you have that same grin, and it isn't your normal lopsided grin, it's wider and more mischievous," I commented with a smile.

Daniel chuckled, "Nothing, but I do have a gift for you, which I am giving to you this evening, oh, Edda talked with me, and she mentioned that she wants some help with homework, so probably during lunch or something like that," Daniel commented.

I nodded, I found it slightly odd, but Edda and I needed time to talk and get along better.
I went to school and saw Edda, I went up to her, "Daniel mentioned you wanted to help with homework," I commented.
She laughed, "First, 21st happy birthday, although I do want some help this afternoon. I'm sorry it's on your birthday, of all days," she said.
I nodded, "It's quite fine, I would like to get along with you better," I chuckled.

At the end of the day Edda and I went to the library and started to work on her homework. We spend two and a half hours working on her homework, I glanced at my watch, shocked at the time, "My God, I should get you home, it's already 5:30!" I exclaimed, standing up.

Edda stood up, "Well, we should get on our way," she agreed, grabbing her books and papers. We started to walk toward my house, talking, "I'll continue on," she commented.

We quickly hugged each other, "I'll see you tomorrow," she said.
I nodded, "Yes, see you tomorrow," I said.
I opened the door and saw the lights were off, but there was some weak candlelight in the dining room. Daniel walked through the doorway wearing a slightly fancier suit, "Happy birthday," he said, pulling me into a hug before kissing me slowly.

I chuckled, "Thank you, but I now feel underdressed," I commented.
Daniel laughed, "You aren't underdressed, besides, dinner might get cold," Daniel reasoned, his good hand resting on the small of my back.

I nodded, "If you say- wait! You made dinner!?" I said in shock.
Daniel laughed, putting my bag on the hooks and led me to the dining room.
He pulled a chair out and gestured for me to sit down. I chuckled slightly, doing so before he pushed the chair in before sitting next to me.
