Summary:
Enid could not pull her eyes away from her girlfriend, cursing out the fact that they had to choose seats before they started dating. Enid was unhappy with the development mostly because while she sat with Yoko, who slept for the better part of the class, Wednesday sat next to Xavier. And, to Enid's displeasure, Xavier seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

Enid sat at her desk, a hand grasped tightly around her pen and eyes plastered to the teacher standing next to the blackboard. Frankly, Enid barely even knew what lesson it was, and she was definitely not listening to the teacher, who was in the middle of explaining something enthusiastically. Her eyes kept drifting away from the center of the room toward the small ravenette sitting on the other side of it. Wednesday kept her back perfectly straight as she followed the teacher with her eyes, making notes from time to time.
She watched as the boy leaned down to whisper something into Wednesday's ear, who nodded her head thoughtfully. A quiet growl escaped Enid's throat as she snapped her pen in half. Most of the class looked at her in surprise.
"Is everything okay, Ms. Sinclair?" Her eyes snapped toward the teacher, and she nodded stiffly.
"I just got scared of a bee," she mumbled, focusing on keeping her claws and fangs from coming out. The teacher sent her a suspicious look but dropped the topic and went back to his train of thought.
Enid could sense Wednesday's eyes on her face, assessing if she was fine, but the werewolf refused to meet her gaze. Instead, she opened her fist, still clasped tightly around her favorite pen, and let its remains spill onto the desk. She sighed, deciding there was nothing she could do to fix the item, and turned to look at Yoko. The vampire was staring at her with an annoyed expression.
"I was sleeping!" Enid rolled her eyes.
"This is a class. You shouldn't sleep during it! I'm helping you with your education at this point. You're welcome," she whispered back, holding out her hand. "Give me your pen," Yoko scoffed, moving the item out of her reach.
"Yeah, no. One murdered pen is enough for today."
"How am I supposed to take notes without a pen?" the vampire looked at her notebook and frowned at the empty page with just the date written in the right corner.
"I'm sorry, were you using invisible ink?" Enid scoffed, deciding Yoko was no help and turned back to the teacher. Before she could realize what she was doing, her eyes wandered off, stopping directly at the dark orbs drilling into her relentlessly. Wednesday was staring at her, one eyebrow raised in question. Enid shot her a smile to assure her everything was fine, but the staring continued, and the werewolf sighed. Wednesday was not letting that go.
As soon as the class ended, everyone started rushing toward the door, ignoring the teacher, who was trying to add one last thought to his tirade. Enid threw her notebook into her backpack, leaving her destroyed pen on the desk, and turned to leave when Wednesday appeared in front of her, face scrunched in confusion.
"Are you alright, cara mia ?" Enid smiled and reached out her hand, the ravenette grasping it lightly almost immediately and pressing a kiss to her knuckles. The werewolf blushed at the nonchalance of the gesture and ran her thumb over the back of her girlfriend's hand.
