———————————————————

Wednesday could remember a time when she enjoyed the solitude of sitting at her typewriter. But lately though she found she was not enjoying it as much as she used too. Not since she met Enid Sinclair, and her life was irrevocably changed forever. Now she no longer craved the solitude of being alone, now she just wanted to spend time with the blonde werewolf. Wednesday stopped tapping the keys before looking around for any sign of her annoying roommate and best friend.

Looking back to her typewriter, she looked at Thing and asked, "Where is Enid?" she asked.

Thing tapped away "She's out with Alice, why... are you missing her?"

"How would you like me to start breaking fingers?" Wednesday replied "And no, I am not missing her" she answered albeit a lie, she really was missing the werewolf who had wormed her way into her rotten heart.

Thing started tapping again "Hmm, it is later than usual" it admitted "She's usually back by now"

Rising from her seat, Wednesday headed towards the door "Something is wrong" she said "Enid should be back" yanking the door open Wednesday stepped through and slammed the door shut behind her.

Leaving Thing alone in the room.

Recently Enid had been spending and increased amount of time with Alice. Alice had joined the school for a new semester. She was a werewolf much like Enid was and since her arrival, she had been hanging around Enid quite a lot. Wednesday tried not to let their relationship bother her but Alice's non-stop flirting and constant touching with Enid was driving Wednesday insane. The brunette had an obvious dislike for Wednesday.

And that was okay, the feeling was entirely mutual on Wednesday part. She hated how the brunette werewolf was constantly around Enid. Wednesday felt her wolf scratch away inside her, trying to come. "She's, our mate!" The Goth's wolf growled as it continued to scratch away.

"Enid and I are best friends; she can see whoever she wants" Wednesday argued with her wolf.

Thing tapped away, interrupting Wednesday's argument with her wolf "Then why is it bugging you so much?"

"It's not and will you both please shut up before I pull out the silver and start snapping fingers" Wednesday threatened which instantly shut up both her wolf and Thing. Wednesday released a heavy sigh as she pushed herself up and began pacing the room. Things between Enid and Wednesday had been different since the incident with Crackstone when Enid was forced to bite Wednesday to save her life. They had not talked about the kiss they shared when Enid discovered Wednesday bleeding to death.

The semester had ended abruptly soon after the incident and they pretended the kiss never happened. Now Alice came along and Wednesday began to wish she and Enid had talked about that kiss. Inhaling deep, Wednesday's now acute nose picked up the scent of Enid only something was wrong. Wednesday could smell the scent of Enid's blood which concerned the goth as the door flew open and Enid walked in.

Wednesday turned and stared at the blonde, scrutinizing every inch of the blonde and sure enough. Enid had a fresh cut on her cheek and a bruise around her left eye which thanks to her werewolf abilities, it was already beginning to fade. Walking over to Enid, Wednesday cupped her best friend's cheek and looked at the cut on the blonde's cheek. Wednesday growled as her wolf threatened to emerge and this time she was going to let it.
