The students prepared for Christmas like any other boarding school and several bottles of alcohol had been procured via the older students. They hoped the teachers wouldn't find out and it was kept very quiet from Principal Weems.

They had kitted all the common rooms out with massive Christmas trees and the main hall had a few smaller ones littered around. The students planned to have the supervised party in the main hall and then go back to the common rooms to drink illegal beverages.

As the main party winded down the students first went back to their rooms and slowly snuck out to the common rooms. The staff housing had its own section in the school so they weren't worried about the music being too loud and getting caught.

Enid had managed to convince her girlfriend to come to one of the after parties on the condition the werewolf would wear black nail polish for a month. The party had started out amazing.

As soon as they walked into the party they'd been roped into a beer pong game by Devina and Yoko. They had thrashed them at it, with Wednesday's impeccable aim, but they'd lost a few cups when it was Enid's turn to throw.

Soon someone else had challenged them to another game, this time the wolf let Wednesday throw all the shots and the other team could barely drink fast enough to keep up. Her girlfriend was declared the beer pong champion and no one else dared to challenge them again that night.

Enid got them both celebratory shots and soon she began to feel tipsy. Her moon however seemed to have a high tolerance, probably from all the poison she drank daily.

Half way through the night they had spotted Eugene coming in through the door and went over to talk to him. Enid was quickly pulled away from the conversation however by some of the furs who wanted to take some more shots together.

By now Enid was beginning to feel pretty drunk, which is what she used as an excuse for the glare she sent Xavier when she saw him trying to talk to Wednesday and Eugene. Quickly excusing herself she headed over to them.

When she got there Xavier took one look at her and left the group. From that moment on she swore to stick by her girlfriend's side. This only lasted so long though as many people kept stealing her away to gossip.

Every time she parted from Wednesday and turned around to locate her she'd see that irritating artist talking to her. She knew he had a crush on her still and that did nothing to help her jealously.

The party continued this way until she had enough of Xavier and she spent the rest of it clinging onto her girlfriend, partly from jealousy and partly because she was struggling to stand up on her own.

Wednesday had no idea why Enid was clinging onto her and just assumed she was an overly affectionate drunk so she let her hold on. She definitely was not just worried about how much the blonde had drunk.

They headed to a secluded corner to just sit and talk. Enid draped her arms around the shorter girl from behind and begun talking about anything and everything, with Wednesday resting against her chest mainly listening and adding in a few comments here and there.

Enid could feel her eyes drooping so regretfully detached herself from her comfortable place, cuddled up to her girlfriend, to get an energy drink.

The party was slowly coming to an end so not many people were left, which made it easier for the drunk girl to manoeuvre about. It still took her a few minutes though to get to the other side where she spotted the drinks.

It was at one of the drinks tables that she saw him across the room. Around him were several half-drunk energy drinks and many more sat randomly around the room. A thought crossed the wolfs mind and she communicated it through her stare. He nodded back.

And the battle began. It was a battle for honour, a battle to prove who was superior. Everything was put on the line and the winner would have it all. It was the most important moment of Enid's life.

She took it very seriously and ignored the turning of her stomach after the 4th drink and continued drinking until there was only one energy drink left on her side. It took every inch of will power she had but she powered on.

Taking occasional glances at the boy she saw he only had one drink left. Turning towards him fully they both raised their glasses up in an imitation of glasses clinking.

After she'd finished drinking she held all her fingers up except one. Xavier looked at her with a sad expression and knew she had won. He walked past her with his head hung in defeat and she attempted to walk back to where she knew her girlfriend would be, she didn't make it very far before giving up and just shouting.

"Willa!"

At the call of her nickname Wednesday got up and immediately located her drunk girlfriend sat on the ground giving her puppy dog eyes.

"Please can you help me up, I fell down and now my legs won't work." The pout on her face was in full effect.

Deeming words not necessary Wednesday just scooped her girlfriend up in a bridal carry and made her way to their dorm room. Once there she deposited her in their shared bed.

The bed had been brought when neither girl could give up their respective love/hate for colours. It was placed under the dual colour mirror and was fitted with a hand made split in half cover.

Enid quickly settled in bed not even changing out of her clothes but whined once she realised her girlfriend had abandoned her to change into sleep wear. The gloomy girl wasn't gone long and soon returned to their bed with a glass of water.

The wolf quickly tried to cuddled up to her but stopped halfway because the movement left her feeling very nauseous. Wednesday moved towards her when the blonde stopped moving and slid an arm under her to keep them close together. The ravenette was now more on the rainbow side of the bed and though she detested it decided it was worth it for her girlfriend.

Enid was now regretting drinking 9 energy drinks, she was unbelievably hyper but also any sudden movement made her feel like throwing up, this made for her own personal hell. The only upside was how caring her girlfriend was being.

"You were gone for a while, what happened?" Wednesday looked down at her girlfriend a frown playing on her lips.

"Saw Xavier, he was flirting with you all night and I'd had enough so I challenged him." Enid slurred.

"Mon soleil, you have nothing to worry about. Everyone else in this world is intolerable. Though the contest does sound intriguing, did you utterly obliterate him?"

Enid wore a proud smile upon her face and nodded, snuggling in closer. She completely forgot to mention that the competition was who could drink the most left-over energy drinks when her girlfriend started talking again.

It took Enid several hours for her brain to finally quiet down and Wednesday stayed up with her talking in hushed voices until she saw the blonde had finally gone to sleep. Only then did Wednesday settle into her own slumber.

The gloomy girl asked the next morning, once Enid was sober, what the contest was but never found out exactly what it was as the wolf just buried her head further into her chest and groaned. Every time she asked after that Enid would just refuse to say with the excuse it was too embarrassing to talk about.

And the next time an energy drink was brought up both Enid and Xavier looked towards each other and silently vowed to never drink another one again.
