Wednesday Addams. Truly an enigma. Perhaps it was the soulless, lifeless eyes of her that bore into you. Or perhaps it was her articulate nature that was eerily poetic yet could not be understood. Maybe it was her off putting, stoic personality that centred around things considered "out of the ordinary". Or maybe it was all of it, right down to her calculated movement and monotonous voice.
All of this made her weird , and so...so fucking encapsulating.
Enid Sinclair could not for the life of her, wrap her head around the prospect of why Wednesday was so goddamn attractive. She was far from her ideal, polar opposite of it in fact.
She liked someone who was kind, bright and cheerful. She liked someone who cuddled her, praised her and treated her well. She liked someone who could talk to her for hours, listen to her ramblings without complaints.
Wednesday did none of those. Wednesday did not listen. Wednesday was not kind. Wednesday hated touch. And Wednesday certainly did not treat her well.
So why was she so enamoured by the gothic beauty.
"Enid." A voice resounded, stern and melancholic. Enid took a second to register the voice, finally looking up from her phone - which had only been a black screen - "Wednesday," She acknowledged, allowing herself to give a curt nod towards the girl, eyes flickering from her face down to her bed.
"It pains me to say this out loud, but I am in need of your assistance in a...personal matter." Wednesday muttered, not bothering to see Enid's reaction, walking to her side of the room.
Enid sighed, she looked up from her bed to catch Wednesday's gaze on her. Her heart skips a beat. "Well...what is it?" She returns, urging Wednesday to elaborate. Wednesday sucks in a ragged breath, only made notable by the slight shake of her shoulders. Barely noticeable. Enid noticed .
"I..." Wednesday starts, her tone wavering slightly, a sign of nervousness that was barely ever displayed by the Addam's. "I need help with getting...a certain someone to stop chasing me. And not in a literal sense...in what you would call, a romantic sense." She concedes, straightening her posture as she stares at Enid with a gaze that almost lights Enid's heart on fire.
"Sorry, but how would I help?" Enid asks quietly, feeling her heart race. Intense...almost too intense. Wednesday quirks an eyebrow, noticing the distress in Enid's face. "You may decline if you wish, it is a big ask. But, I've been meaning to get this... guy to stop asking me on a date. He is persistent, I give him that. I have threatened him, no doubt." Wednesday takes a pause to gauge Enid's reaction.
She continues when she notices the curious look in the girl's eyes, "Unfortunately, I cannot follow through with my threats as of now due to the fact that I cannot be suspended. My mother may have trouble finding another school to send me to after this one." Wednesday says, eyeing Enid. "Therefore, I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend so he can see that I am taken and not interested for him to finally be off my trail." She concludes.
Enid freezes. Be my girlfriend. Her heart pounds against her chest. Intense. Intense. Too intense. Claws. She jumps slightly, shit. She puts her hands behind her back, but Wednesday had already caught sight of them. She sighed. "It is alright, Enid. You do not have to. I suppose I could find a way to get away with some emotional torture." Wednesday mutters.
