"She writes poetry!"
Yoko allowed herself to quietly sigh before looking down from the ceiling, her best wolf-friend at the door and already pacing.
"Doesn't surprise me."
Yoko releases her grip and flips to the floor, landing with a gentle and tired huff.
"I'm serious, Yoko! She writes poetry! "
The vampire scratches her head in thought.
"You're gonna have to explain why this is a big deal, Fido. We sit behind her in English, so what's the-"
Enid grabs her shoulders and shakes her, Yoko going limp at the action.
"Yoko!" She hissed, "She writes poetry about me!"
A penny dropped.
"Oh, oh. Oh that's... huh, I guess she's the type?"
Enid shakes her again.
"Like, I have to respond in some way, right?! Like, clearly she loves poetry, I want to write for her, but I can't write words good!"
"Okay, okay!"
Yoko slaps her hands away as they flail about, putting space between them.
"Like, listen to this!"
Determined to prove her point, Enid gets the phone from her pocket and tapped away, getting some text up and reading out after a few seconds.
"I have no time for idle cares, through gazing on the unquiet sky. And when an hour with calmer wings, its down upon my spirit flings-"
"Oh my god."
"Wait, there's more!"
Jaw still buried in the floor, Enid continues.
"That little time with lyre and rhyme, to while away, forbidden things! My heart would feel to be a crime, unless it trembled with the strings."
Yoko fell back on her bed, mind running a mile a minute to try and figure out how, how had she not noticed Wednesday Addams was such a... a simp? And an artful one at that!
"Yoko, this is serious... what am I gonna do?!"
"You need to do something?"
The wolf groaned, throwing her hands aside.
"Yes! I need to show her I'm as passionate as this... how though? I'm no... modern song writer!"
Bianca rued the day she was given Yoko as a roommate, not because of the vampire herself, rather the company she kept.
"You know that Addams has probably never heard of Taylor Swift, right?" She grumbled from her bed, sleep mask firmly over her eyes, which was good considering a lightbulb went off for both the wolf and vampire.

The creek of the door was not the reason for the break of her concentration from her writing time, but the presence or warmth that seemed to follow Enid did. She looked up when the door shut again, allowing a small smile to flicker onto her face in privacy.
