———————————-———————-
It has been 3 days since Enid brought home a new gaming laptop to their dorm room. It was quite the surprise, considering how she decided to get one after knowing that Pugsley played games on his own personal computer.
Although, Wednesday didn't quite understand the reasoning for getting another laptop when Enid already had a Macbook. Enid tried to explain the difference between her Macbook and the gaming laptop but Wednesday was not having it. Why buy another when you can just harvest parts from a dead gaming laptop and use those instead to create a franken-laptop?
Wednesday walks up to Enid who was playing a pixel game with her brother while Pugsley's face is displayed on Enid's phone over FaceTime. Thing was watching intently on Enid's left shoulder while she played.
"Pugsley, leave Enid alone. We have a study session planned out. Just because I'm not home doesn't mean I can't torture you," Wednesday scolds her brother over Enid's shoulder.
Pugsley whines. And although she would never admit, she missed the sound of her brother's screams of terror.
"Enid said you guys didn't have anything to do so we're working on our world. We're even working on a villager torture chamber in honor of you, Wednesday!"
Wednesday shoots him the glare that would simply make everyone else tremble in fear. And yet again, it would never work on her brother nor her girlfriend.
"Oh, shut it, Addams. It's our first free weekend without a mountain of school work to do. You're lucky I spend my time with your brother and not with some other girl. Oh, by the way, Pugs, have you tried Valorant? We should definitely play a match right after this."
Wednesday turns around, scowl on her forehead and frown upon her lips.
"I'd be lucky if you even spared me a glance. If it were up to me, I'd have gouged your eyes out already," she mutters as she stomps her way to the door of their shared room.
"What was that, babe?" Enid asks, she didn't hear over the conversation she and Pugsley were having and the soft volume of what Wednesday said.
"I said, I was going to get coffee," Wednesday says rather loudly as she steps out slamming the door, audibly upset and hoping that her girlfriend would follow her out.
"What's up with her?" Enid shrugs as she goes back to her game with Pugsley.
Wednesday makes her way to the Weathervane with her usual dark aura. Even darker now that her girlfriend has not even spared a second to look in her direction in the past three days. A slight exaggeration, however, it was true that Enid has spent the past few days playing on her new laptop with Pugsley.
Wednesday mentally stabs herself in regret for introducing her girlfriend and her brother.
While Wednesday appreciates the fact that Enid made the effort to get closer with Pugsley, she tends to question how well they get along. After all, how well is too well? Would Enid perhaps forgetting the fact that she had a girlfriend considered too well?
And what was this feeling that boiled inside of her gut? It twisted her insides and left a horrid taste in her mouth, worse than all the poisons she's tried for herself. Perhaps it was hatred, but she's never felt this way before, and she has definitely felt hatred before. Much more probable might have been betrayal, that her girlfriend preferred to spend time with her brother, and that her brother now moreso enjoyed conducting their torturous deeds through a computer and with her girlfriend too, no less!
