Summary:
Based on Wednesday's "the last person who tickled me lost a finger" line.
——————————————-
It seemed like a typical weekday in Ophelia Hall. It was quiet.
Far too quiet.
Looking up from her phone screen that she had been previously typing on, her eyes land on the back of the goth girl's head and an idea springs up inside her head, almost like a lightbulb flashed above her.
"Wednesday."
Silence, for just a moment. The clicking from her type writer stopped and she slowly turned her head, giving Enid her utmost attention. "Hmm?"
"I'm going to ask you something. A request. You have to promise me to not get mad."
"I'm not going to promise you anything."
"Wednesday!" She whined.
"Spit it out, Enid."
"Okay, okay." She sighed and used her elbows to push herself up, now at fair eye level to the shorter girl.
The silence between them grows surprisingly uncomfortable, and it drags on for a few moments. Wednesday is now narrowing her eyes, growing impatient and she sighs. She uses the tips of her feet to turn her body back around to her typewriter, resuming her work.
"Can I sit next to you, on your bed? With you?" Enid finally lets out, all in one breath. She breathes deeply as she feels like she's ripped her heart out of her chest.
The clacking of the keys ends abruptly and Wednesday turns around once again. She stands up with no words in exchange and sits down rigidly on her bed, hands placed neatly in her lap. A few moments pass of them simply looking at each other, and Wednesday grows impatient at her failing to sense her telepathic message. Hesitantly, she uses her left hand and pats the spot next to her, a silent invitation to the girl.
If Enid had manifested a tail in her human form, she is sure it's be wagging uncontrollably right now. She bounces up from her bed and trots to the darker side of the room, where she stands directly in front of the spot the former had just patted, and proceeds to sit down, careful to give the girl her room.
Wednesday stays silent, waiting for Enid to proceed with her request.
"Can I tickle you?"
Her eyes widened ever so slightly, jaw opening slack. She doesn't know what she expected to come out of her friend's mouth, but asking to tickle her was definitely one of the last things on the imaginary list. She quickly regained her composure and straightened her image. "The last person who tickled me lost a finger."
"Oh c'mon, Wednesday! I want to see you laugh. I've only ever seen you smile a few times, and it's never for good things." Enid whined and leaned in close. She pouted and her whispered 'please' didn't go unnoticed by the shorter girl.
Wednesday turned her back on her completely, something she's grown accustomed to doing whenever Enid did something like giving her a compliment that made her face feel hot, compared to her usual pale and cold skin.
"Fine. However, I'm not going to promise that I'll show a reaction to your insufferable request." Wednesday replied and she heard a squeal from the girl behind her. Her eyes softened at the reaction and she let out a small breath. If anyone else had asked her this, they'd have their wrists cut off before even getting an answer out of her.
But this is different. She doesn't know why.
"Okay Wednesday, I'm going to start now... promise not to have my head for $50,000 after this—"
"Ah!" Wednesday gasped softly.
Much to Wednesday's surprise, Enid started tickling up to her sides and ribs. She didn't start slow, like she was expecting, she hit the ground running with this strange idea.
With every bone in her body, Wednesday tried to fight off the giggle that was begging to be let out. She really did. She wanted to prove Enid wrong and show her that she wouldn't show the slightest reaction.
She failed.
A smile slowly cracked onto the stoic girl's lips and Enid's eyes lit up with adoration. Enid continued with her efforts and one hand lifted up to Wednesday's neck, where her fingers danced around the area and that's where Enid found her sweet spot. Her other hand, busy on her side, slowed down. She focused her attention on the hand that was on the girl's neck.
Wednesday's giggles erupted loudly and her eyes squeezed shut. "E-Enid! Stop!" She gasped, in between fits of giggles and laughter. Her legs enclosed themselves around the taller girl's waist in an attempt to pull her down, away from her neck.
Enid couldn't help herself. Wednesday's smile was like a drug, and she needed more of it. She continued her antics and the goth girl let out a soft cry, and wriggled in her embrace.
Finally, Wednesday managed to grab a hold of the hand that was attacking her neck. The two girls stared at each other, breathless.
Wednesday had tears brimming in her eyes, panting with her cheeks flushed.
"You're so beautiful." Enid said, through shallow breaths.
"Your beauty is that of a dark eerie dream that plagues my mind."
"What?"
"Kiss me, Enid." Wednesday whispered into her lips and Enid's eyes widened. "Please." she whispered in such a low tone that Enid wasn't sure if it even occurred.
"Okay."
Enid gave the girl below her one last look before they flickered down to her lips, and they fluttered shut as their lips finally met in a kiss.
It was anything and everything she dreamt of. All those nights being kept awake by those captivating, devoid and dark eyes made it all up. Her lips were softer than she imagined, a total contrast to her cold skin.
Wednesday sighed contently against her lips. Her hands let go of the girl's own and snaked up to wrap around her neck, pulling her impossibly closer. The legs that were once snug around her waist pulled her closer and they were now chest to chest, breathing in each other.
Enid's now free hands found themselves at Wednesday's waist and she rubbed the soft skin there. The shorter girl sighed into her mouth at the contact and Enid smiled against her lips.
After what seemed like hours, they finally departed and Enid's eyes fluttered open, and she was met with Wednesday's eyes still glued shut and her lips bruised and wet. Her cheeks were flushed a deep red and her freckles were more prominent than ever.
"I meant what I said, Wednesday. You're so beautiful." Enid said, and her voice was filled with so much sincerity and love it almost made Wednesday emotional at how someone cradled her body and feelings with so much affection.
Wednesday's eyes snapped open and she eyes darted anywhere but the girl, covering her expression with her hand.
Enid took the hand that covered the girl's face and held it, pecking her nose.

"Speak of this to anyone and I'll kill you."
