Enid gets a little courageous and Wednesday is taken aback.

Enid Sinclair had always dreamed of romance. The sun setting and witnessing the moon shine above as her imaginary lover holds her warm hand, flowers blooming on a summer afternoon with a sweet smile on her face, simple touches and chaste kisses on a balcony as they whisper sweet nothings, and the like. It's a childish fantasy she'd always think about but who could really blame her? Sometimes she'd reason out to herself and say it's just her wish to experience kdrama scenes - but more often than not - she'd admit she just wants someone by her side.

Neither a friend to gossip with nor simply a classmate to exchange notes with.

Someone to hold, someone to touch, to express her love.

Someone she could call her lover.

Enid closes her eyes and hopes she'll dream of it tonight.

The sound of a doorknob turning stopped her from drifting off to sleep. Familiar footsteps echo as the smell of rotten flowers with a mix of dusty books from the library engulfed her. She didn't have to even take a glance to know that it was her colorless roommate that just entered the room.

"Wed, welcome back," Enid greeted with a sleepy tone. She tried to sound enthusiastic but she was too tired. "What are you doing outside this late? There's no more killer to run after." After the case with Tyler, there were a lot of adjustments in school, but one thing that didn't change was their room assignment.

She turned her body around to see the dark irises as deep as the abyss stare at her. There always was a mystery behind the Addams' eyes that she wanted to unveil yet can't for the life of her. "A walk in the woods is always comforting," was her roommate's reply that made her smile ever so slightly. Typical Wednesday.

"Mhm," Enid hummed before she repositioned herself - her body laid on the side with a hand under her chin - a little curious. "So how was your trip?" She asked and didn't really expect a reply. Just needed to say something; anything really.

Just to keep Wednesday Addams' attention on her.

She bit back a chuckle as she realized how clingy she's gotten. Even more clingy than usual.

"It was... uneventful to say the least." Her pigtails slightly moved as she made her way to the chair with a paper in hand. To continue her novel perhaps , Enid noted. "There were no more corpses to witness nor were there visions to show me living nightmares of the past." Wednesday's fingertips made their way to the typewriter. The usually annoying tapping sound slowly started to lull the werewolf to sleep.

But well, she really didn't want to sleep yet.

"Sounds peaceful." A quiet remark.

"Peace is the opposite of what I yearn for." A snarky reply. "A part of me wishes for another chaotic narrative to take place. Death's door is always a welcoming sight."

Enid let out a soft giggle. She really didn't mean to keep Wednesday distracted but it made her heart flutter that she was willing to converse. If it were months ago, she'd only receive death threats (she still gets them to this day just not as often.) "As long as death's door or whatever won't let you in then our room's door is always open." She closed her eyes, her hand still balancing her head. "I'll miss you too much, Wednesday. More than you'll ever know."

There was suddenly silence in the room after her hushed confession.

It took a moment for Enid to realize that she spilled a little too much than she wanted.
