Violent Recompense Or Holding Hands?

Despite Weem's forcing her to play in the statue unveiling ceremony Wednesday had managed to have a productive day. She had still managed to switch assignments with Enid to infiltrate Pilgrim World and had investigated several leads culminating in another vision, this one of Joseph Crackstone and the atrocities he committed all those years ago.

Returning to the school led to being forced to listen to a frustratingly short sighted lecture by Weem's but in the end she chose to pay little heed to her warnings over the destruction of the monument, as Wednesday knew she had no firm evidence, Thing had been the trigger man, so to speak, so there wasn't so much as a partial finger print to be found that would incriminate her.

After her dismissal by a disappointed principal she returned to her dorm without further incident intent on finishing her latest homework assignment before the start of her designated writing time.

Getting back to the room she found Enid gathering an armful of additional make up products and disappearing into their en-suite bathroom with a quick wave, apparently she had been successful in her flirtations of the Gorgon while volunteering together at Uriah's heap.

After spending a copious amount of time in their en-suite bathroom, in Wednesdays opinion at least, her overly vibrant roommate then proceeded to take the better part of an hour going through her entire wardrobe to put together her 'ultimate first date outfit' as she had called it.

Wednesday had tried to ignore it all as much as possible, accepting weeks ago that she would no longer always have an hour of silence for her writing time.

Compromise, what a twisted concept.

"Is this too much?" Enid asked from her side of the room, briefly drawing Wednesday's attention away from her writing. The moment she looked over she felt her eyes widening minutely in horror at the multicoloured garment being proffered, turning back to her typewriter quickly, she already knew that the offensive top would be appearing in her nightmares shortly.

"I feel like you just napalmed me Enid" Wednesday responded, trying to shake it from her mind and get her writing back on track.

"I'm so glad I have my date with Ajax tonight. I just really need to get my mind off that train-wreck of an afternoon. I literally think I have PTSD, I mean I didn't even get to do my dance routine"

"What a tragedy" Wednesday muttered in false sympathy.

"What kind of twisted psycho would want to sabotage such a life affirming event?" Enid asked aloud, a question that Wednesday chose not to answer lest she incriminate herself

"You're going to be late"

"Wish me luck" Enid was ever a mix of anxiousness of hope.
