Summary:

Wednesday asks Enid if something is wrong with her and Enid decides to prove her wrong via a simple experiment.

Oh, and Ajax was there for like a second... I guess. They beat him up tho! #lesbianism

Enid Sinclair, the happier counterpart of Wednesday Addams, sits quietly in the back of her family's noisy van. Her brothers yell, scratch and bite one another while her dad drives in utter silence while her mother rambles on about some minor inconvenience that happened to her recently. Thankfully for her, she stopped shoving pamphlets of wolf camps down her throat after she finally wolfed out for the first time. In fact, her mother was so glad to hear that her youngest finally became one of them that she completely ignored the part of the story in which Enid almost died.

As the thick woods from the entrance of Nevermore Academy come into view Enid finds herself growing more nervous to see familiar faces. For one, her boyfriend Ajax is going to be waiting for her. Having gone the entire break without seeing him had been hard, but she was able to cope. Plus, she was still mad at him for keeping an entire association hidden from her! What type of boyfriend does that? Anyways, who she hadn't been able to cope with was her rather sadistic roommate, Wednesday Addams. Finally being able to hug her had felt like the most important achievement of her life –right under wolfing out of course–. The absence of typewriter clacks, deep existential sighs and deadly side-eyes had driven poor Enid to levels close to insanity. Oh how she missed those soulless, deep eyes!

The campus had undergone major reconstruction and remodelling during the break after the explosions and fires that had occurred during the last few days of class. Sadly enough, their room hadn't been spared from the flames that day. Or well, not spared enough. Apparently some planks were deemed unsafe to stand on, as well as a few windows that were a screech away from shattering. So, they had been temporarily moved into a smaller –like, much much smaller– room. Since a lot of the rooms required touch ups, singular person rooms were given double beds for the time being to accommodate students. She knew Wednesday would be far from geeked about this news, so she had knitted her a small gift to hand to her when they got to the new room. Since the oldest Addams' kid was nearly allergic to colour, Enid took the time to knit a bed cover that was half and half. Half pastel pinks and yellows, and half black. Apart from this, she packed a long pillow to serve as a divider for them. Wednesday despised physical touch. So, to avoid accidental night cuddles, she was going to place a pillow between them.

By the time Enid had finished planning the best way to greet her roomie, the van had come to a full stop behind the dormitories. Her brothers were quick to drag her things into the building while she stayed back with her parents. Her father, as expressive as a tree, gave her a pat on the back. Her mother awed over her new wolf cub and hugged her tightly.

"Be a good wolf for me, okay sweetheart? We'll miss you!" She squeezed her tightly in her arms.

"Yes, mom. Will do."

"Go on now! Settle in! And wish that Addams girl a good semester for us, okay?"

"Okay, mom. I'm sure she'll be delighted to hear that." Enid waved at them from the steps of the building.

Once her brothers were in the van again, she stepped in. Their room was now on the first floor. No good view, no balcony, nothing. Just a sad little room. At least it was not as tiny as she expected it. Somehow the school had managed to also fit in two desks for them. She plopped down by the end of the bed and ran her fingers through the comforter. Back in Nevermore after everything that had happened the previous semester. It didn't feel real. She began unpacking her things into her side of the closet. She was almost done doing so when she heard the monotone voice she had missed so dearly over the summer.
