"Hold still, I'm almost finished."

Yoko was adding the final touches to Wednesday's look.

This whole thing was a lot more fun than she'd envisioned. Looking at her closely, Wednesday kind of had a doll-like appearance. Doing her hair and putting on her makeup was actually pretty satisfying. Yoko got so into it that that she even lent Wednesday some of her clothes to go with the look, although the girl was reluctant to wear them at first.

"Alright. All done."

The vampire admired her handiwork, and confirmed that she'd done a damn good job. It was no secret that despite being aloof and strange, Wednesday Addams was a beautiful girl. But Yoko had enhanced her features, creating a flagrant allure that the austere teen never would have gone for herself.

She held up a mirror to Wednesday.

"What do you think?"

She actually looked impressed. She ran her hands through her now unbraided hair and felt her face.

"Suitable for an open casket funeral."

Wednesday got up and walked to the door, resting her hand on the doorknob before she paused and turned around.

"Thank you. You... are a good friend."

And then she was gone.

As Yoko was left alone, she considered the fact that she wasn't averse to the idea of being considered one of Wednesday's slowly-increasing number of friends.

At least now she could be sure that 'Yoko Tanaka' wasn't a name on the homicidal teen's hit list.

Yet.

Enid was freaking out.

Where the hell was Wednesday?

Did Enid push her away?

Was she too demanding earlier? Did she accidentally overstep Wednesday's fragile boundaries?

There was no way that fencing practice took this long. Well, she assumed. Enid rarely actually went to fencing practice despite being in the club. But still.

Thing had turned up just a little while ago, suspiciously missing his pig-tailed partner-in-crime. Even more suspiciously, every time Enid tried to ask about Wednesday, the appendage would change the subject. Instead, he rapidly brought up manicures, shopping, social media, anything that would take the wolf's mind off of her absent girlfriend.

But Wednesday Addams was the one topic Enid couldn't be distracted from.
