Summary:

Wednesday Addams dating Enid Sinclair
A 5 + 1(2) of times where they seemed to be an odd couple, and the those few times where they just worked perfectly.

———————————————————

Wednesday Addams was a peculiar young woman. She was often referred to in many ways; A walking corpse, cold, hard, scary. A bit creepy and kooky.

Just the way the world made her.

Wednesday is an Addams, a wolf in a black sheep's clothing, and so she embraces it to the best of her abilities.

And over the years, when she makes mistakes and finally feels something, it scares her more than anything.

Being by herself is lonely, but being with people who care for her is just terrifying.

She could handle being kidnapped, being stalked, attempts on her life, but emotions were something she did not understand.

When she saved Nevermore, she wasn't trying to play a hero. Wednesday was simply interested. Someone as smart as, or smarter than she is. A person who is just one step ahead of her at all times. Something to do in this dull place she finds herself trapped in.

Then somehow she got tangled up in the lives of other people who got involved.

Xavier, Eugene, Tyler, Enid.

And of course, she keeps them at arm's length when bad things happen.

Eugene gets hurt, Tyler turns out to want to kill her, Xavier gets framed, and Enid leaves.

For once, the knowledge that she is stubborn, single-minded, and obsessive, doesn't leave a good feeling in her chest. Oh and of course the first boy she kissed would turn out to be a psychotic, serial-killing monster.

Wednesday Addams considers herself a strong, independent individual. But she has to admit, it's exhausting sometimes.

It is not as though she cares what people think of her, rather she excels at making them think of her whether negative or positive. But Eugene and Enid are different, they don't flinch away from her very "Wednesday Addams" personality.

That made something in her heart stir. Someone who looked past her dark outside, and listened to her. The real Wednesday who cared about her family, who cried over Nero, who may be obsessive and self centered, but also smart and brave.

Feelings are difficult. They come and they go and they fluctuate and swing wildly. Wednesday despises them. She hates the way she sees Pugsley in Eugene, and the little warmth that Enid brings her.

She hates the way she felt when Eugene was in the hospital and Enid left her. The betrayal in her chest that came with Tyler. The guilt with Xavier. Feelings are hard and difficult and she'd much rather watch another pop movie than deal with them. And yet they don't leave.

When Enid wrapped Wednesday in her arms, both covered in blood and exhausted, she didn't have the energy to push her feelings away. Enid had made to move back but Wednesday pulled her back, hugging her until the world felt alright again.
