The aggressive clacking of a typewriter echoed throughout the corridors of Ophelia Hall as Wednesday Addams was intensely focused on her new novel. It was a dark, dreary Friday night complete with a full moon and a stack of blank pages waiting to be transformed into whatever morbid, twisted story the raven girl had brewing in her head.

Her first week back at Nevermore Academy for the new semester had sadly been less eventful than the previous. Wednesday occasionally received a cryptic text from her still unknown stalker (and often ignored them as she didn't want to give her attention to a coward that made weak, mundane threats over a screen) but other than that, it had been a painfully boring start to the school year.

The sounds of howling caught Wednesday's attention briefly and she glanced at the giant window of her shared dorm. She wondered which of the howls were Enid's. Her sickeningly colorful roommate wouldn't shut up about how she was so excited to finally be able to wolf out with the rest of the Furs at Nevermore.

Wednesday begrudgingly listened to Enid's ramblings as the taller girl scrambled around her side of the room, half-exhilarated half-panicked, until sundown when the pack were set to meet in the Quad.

"Wish me luck!" Enid grinned as she made her way to the door.

"If you don't have the highest kill count by the end of the night, I will refuse to acknowledge your existence until we graduate." Wednesday deadpanned at her desk, eyes unmoving from her typewriter.

"Love you too, bestie!"

Something had caused Wednesday to freeze upon hearing the words 'love' and 'bestie' in the same sentence, but ultimately decided to ignore it (along with the warmth that was creeping on her face).

That had been hours ago and it was well nearing 9:30. Curfew was still at 10, same as always, so Enid should be returning from her lunar activities any moment. Wednesday didn't know what the Lycan's did for fun on full moons, nor did she really care. As long as Enid returned safe and sound.

Wednesday growled. There it was again! That vulnerability, weakness, that...softness! God, she was becoming like Pugsley.

She glanced at the phone over on the nightstand near her bed, contemplating on sending a slightly threatening message to Enid about returning to the dorm on time or suffer sleeping outside. but just before the thought became a full idea, the door opened and a disheveled looking Enid trudged inside. Blonde hair frizzy and matted, tangled with leaves and twigs, pink coat and skin caked in mud and grass.

"You look awful." Wednesday said. And she didn't mean it as an insult this time, just the cold honest truth.

"I feel awful!" Was Enid's reply as she limped over to her rainbow side of the dorm and threw down her muddy shoes on the wooden floor. She flopped onto her bed with a louder-than-necessary sigh as her aching body protested her sudden motion. Rolling over on her back she smiled, fangs still presented. "But damn if that wasn't fun!"

Wednesday got up from her chair, tilting her head curiously eyeing her roommate. "Are you hurt?"

Enid groaned and sat up, holding her side. "A little. A few cuts and bruises and every bone in my body feels like it's made of glass but I'll live. I don't think my body's used to transforming just yet."
