Chapter 21: Training and Encouragement

"I-Is it really bad Y/N? Y-you know....the Rehabilitation training?" Zenitsa came to you the next morning. It was now time for her to join you all in the rehabilitation training.

Her arms and legs had fully grown back by now and she looked to be on the final stages of her recovery.

"Uhm....n-not really. It's a bit energy zapping, but I don't think it's that bad." You tried to reassure her but as ever when she was scared, she wouldn't listen to anything that anyone said.

"B-But Tanjiro and Inosuke always come back looking like zombies! I-I don't wanna do it Y/NNNNN....." She whined and hid her face in your chest.

You merely sighed and gently pat the back of her head. "Don't be so dramatic....you'll be fine!"

"O-okay....i-if you say so...." She glanced over at Tanjiro who was groaning as he pulled himself up from his bed and rubbed his eyes.

"Come on then....let's go...." He drawled out as himself and Inosuke dragged themselves out of the room.

You followed on behind them, dragging a still scared Zenitsa behind you. She was shaking and muttering to herself about the training, as you tried your best to reassure her that it wasn't that bad.

Once you got to the training hall, Aoi took the time to explain the whole process again so Zenitsa was up to speed and knew what was to come.

After it was all explained to her, the blonde haired girl was silent for a few moments before raising her hand.

"Can I say something?" She said.

"Is there something that wasn't clear?" Aoi placed her hands on her hips as Zenitsa shook her head and stood up.

"No not that....." She glared at you. "You didn't tell me....that it was like this."

"Zenitsa....I told you that it wasn't as bad as you were fearing." You said to her as her eye twitched slightly.

"Not as bad?! YOU NEVER MENTIONED THAT IT INVOLVED OTHER GIRLS!!" She yelled causing Aoi to gasp and the three assistant girls to flinch.

"....what are you trying to insinuate here? What do you think we even get up to?" You ask, a little fearful as to how annoyed and jealous Zenitsa looked.

"IN THAT CUP GAME YOU POTENTIALLY HOLD THEIR HANDS, AND IN THE GAME OF TAG YOU MIGHT EVEN TOUCH OTHER PARTS OF THEIR BODIES!!" She huffed as your face changed colour.

"OH JUST SHUT UP AND QUIT YOUR WHINING! ITS TRAINING, WHO CARES?!" Inosuke started yelling as well, before receiving a swift and strong punch from Zenitsa.

"Inosuke! Apologise to him right now!" Tanjiro demanded as Zenitsa glared daggers at the boy.

"Holy shit....did not expect her to get a hit on Inosuke like that. A pretty solid one too." You thought as you buried your head in your hands.

"YOU TWO COULD'VE AT LEAST TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE TRAINING!!" She huffed and crossed her arms. "To think that all this time, my partner has been laying his hands on other girls."

"I-it's training Zenitsa! You are taking this the wrong way! B-Besides, y-you're jumping the gun a little bit....in regards to us being partners...." You tried getting the message through to her, but she didn't want to hear any of it.

She merely pouted and got on with the training, managing to handle the massage part of it much better than the rest of you.

In fact, she seemed to enjoy it more than anything.

"I....always hold back tears from the pain....she seems to actually be enjoying it....maybe I was wrong about how strong she was...." Inosuke commented while watching her after he got back up from being punched.
