Your recovery still continued under the strict instructions from the Butterfly girls. No matter how much better you were feeling, they still wanted to keep you out of action for longer so you could properly heal.

"I'm still really surprised that you were able to go back to fighting so soon after our fight." Gyutaro mentioned to you while you were hanging with the demons in the sun blocked room.

"Pushed myself to fight. There was too many lives at stake. As a result...I think some of my injuries from before were aggravated. Along with the addition of some additional ones..." You said with a light chuckle as you sighed.

"The more you rest, the sooner you will recover. That is the most important thing." Daki said as she wrapped her arms around you from behind and laid her head on your back.

"Indeed! It also means that you get to spend more time with us! It sucks having to stay in this one room all the time!" Aria said, pouting as she hugged you from the front and laid her head on your chest.

"Especially since that other demon girl can walk around in the sun! How is that even remotely possible?! Or fair?!" She went on, pouting even more.

"I don't know how it's possible...I'm just sorta glad that it is. Perhaps one day you'll all be able to join her." You said.

"As for staying in this room...it's just to do with safety. A lot of slayers come through this place and your presence here would likely cause a lot of hostility." You continued.

"I-I shan't complain...I am thankful that I am safe here." Mukago said in a low and quiet voice.

She was always quite silent and subdued, seemingly still nervous about her environment and the presence of not only Demon Slayer hashira's, but also two Upper Moon Demons.

Whenever you were with her, you would do your best to reassure her and try and bump up her confidence but it was hard to do so. If you got close she would get slightly nervous, using the excuse that she didn't want to accidentally hurt you or make your current injuries worse.

After a while of sitting there with the demons, there came a knock at the door before it slid open. Kanao stood at the doorway, the usual expression on her face.

"Hey Kanao! What's up?" You greeted her, watching as a small smile formed on her face.

"Hello...I...wish to speak with you." She plainly said, getting right to the point.

"Oh, sure!" You said.

Both Daki and Aria both understood that they needed to let go of you for now, much to their dismay. They made it apparent too, sighing deeply and grumbling as they pulled away and shuffled back from you.

The whole thing was amusing to you as you stood up and gave them both a pat on the head.

"I'll be back later. Don't miss me too much." You said with a smile, winking at Mukago too as you left the room and slid the door shut behind you, leaving you and Kanao alone in the hallway.

"You are becoming...friendlier with those demons." Kanao said.

"I guess I am spending more time with them. They get bored in there since they aren't able to come out." You replied.

"I still want to be able to help them. But right now, I've still got to focus on myself." You said.

Kanao nodded as she looked at your shoulder and your leg. There were still bandages wrapped around both that were changed regularly. She had been told by both Shinobu and Kanae to keep an eye on them whenever you were around her.

"But anyway, what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" You asked as Kanao gently grabbed your hand and started leading you along.

"Shinobu and Kanae...were called to a meeting by the master. They said it was very important and said that they were trusting me to watch over the mansion in their absence." She said, looking back at you.
