The devastation at the swordsmith village was clear for all to see. Virtually every house and workshop had been completely levelled or heavily damaged. The survivors who had tried their hardest to defend their village were now working to clear any rubble to try and start again.

"So much damage...it's going to take such a long time to rebuild this all." You said as you slowly walked down the main road to the entrance of the village.

You had spent the last day or two just to rest and recover from your injuries. In no way were you fully healed, which meant that there would be a lot of recovery to go through once you got back to the butterfly mansion.

"Lord Y/N!!"

You heard someone call out to you and stopped to turn in the direction of the voice. There were a group of swordsmiths waving you over enthusiastically, and not wanting to be rude you slowly made your way over to talk to them.

"Hello there. Are you in need of any further assistance in clearing this mess? I'm sure I could lend a hand." You said as they all shook their heads.

"No not at all! You are in no shape to clear such a mess! You did your job and defeated those demons! We are grateful for your effort!" One of them said as they all bowed.

You merely bowed too in response to show your gratitude.

"I did what I needed to do. And even then, I wasn't the one who killed either demon. Your gratitude is best placed with Tanjiro and Tokito." You said.

"But you still fought with all your strength! Willing to lay down your life to protect everyone else! Your names will never be forgotten!" One of them said as a smile spread across your face and you bowed your head again.

"I hope that you are all able to properly rebuild after all the devastation that was caused. Us swordsmen and women are nothing without you." You said as they all nodded.

"And I promise you that one day, you'll all be able to live in peace and safety knowing that you aren't being targeted. We will defeat Muzan Kibutsuji." You said determined.

"We believe in you my lord!" One cheered as they all got back to clearing the mess.

You stood watching for a few moments after the conversation stopped with a frown on your face. Despite being injured still, you wanted to at least lend a hand if you could.

Carefully you crouched down and tried to lift a broken wooden beam so you could shift it out of the way. However when you did this, the pain in your shoulder came back with a vengeance causing you to hiss in pain and drop the beam before falling backwards and landing on your butt.

"Lord Y/N!! Are you okay?!" One of the swordsmiths exclaimed as you held your shoulder and gently rubbed it.

"Y-yeah I'm fine..." You said as you tried to get back up again.

However you were stopped when you heard quick footsteps followed by the feeling of arms being wrapped around your upper body.

"Y/N-Kun!! A-Are you okay?! What happened?! What were you trying to do?!" Mitsuri exclaimed, barraging you with questions as she stressed over the state she had found you in.

"I-I'm okay...I-I was just trying to help..." You said as she pouted and rested her chin on your shoulder gently, trying not to hurt you any further.

"But you're hurt! Not to mention that you still must be exhausted too! What were you thinking, silly?!" She said before sighing and gently laying her head against yours.

"I always knew you were a good person with a heart made of pure gold...but you need to hold the same sort of sentiment for yourself you know? You need to help yourself too from time to time." She said.
