Chapter 47: Making A Choice

Gyutaro kicked you up through the roof and jumped up after you, to attack you while you were still in the air.

"Crap!! I gotta turn myself to block him!! Fast!!!" Your mind raced as you gripped your sword and twisted your body.

"Water breathing.....sixth form: Whirlpool!!!"

You span around and blocked Gyutaro's sickles, managing to readjust yourself to face him in the process.

"Ninth form: Splashing Water Flow: Turbulent!!"

Your feet landed comfortably on the slanted roof and you kept on running over them towards the upper moon who had set his feet back on the ground.

He charged towards you too, both of you now on course to clash with each other head on.

"I can do this!!!!" You inhaled a large amount of air and could feel the energy and oxygen flowing freely through your body.

Your foot hit the ground and created a dent in the roof as you used it to push off and gain distance in a short amount of time.

"Tenth form: Constant Flux!!!!"

You swung your sword towards Gyutaro, who in turn swung his sickles towards you. Your sword dug its way into his neck as you felt one of his sickles stab you in the leg.

You let out a cry of pain, but quickly refocused yourself and put all of your energy into beheading him.

"I WILL BEAT YOU!!! NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF MY STRENGTH IT TAKES!!!" You yelled as you felt your sword slowly start to pass through his neck.

All the while, Gyutaro was trying to push you off and kept driving his sickle deeper into your leg.

The pain was excruciating and was getting even worse, but you fought through it yelled even louder as you forced your sword to keep going.

Though it was not enough, as Gyutaro managed to rip away from your sword. It took a good chunk of his skin and muscles from his neck, but it also left quite the hole in your leg from where he stabbed you with his sickle.

You fell to your knees after he ripped himself away, taking in as much breath as you could to make up for the amount you had lost.

"So persistent....so troublesome.....why couldn't you just die easily?" Gyutaro sneered as he slowly approached you.

"My dumb sister has to go and fall for a demon slayer....how could she let that happen?" He started scratching his face again.

On the other hand, you were trying to pull yourself up but the pain in your leg was making it hard for you to do so.

"Still trying, eh? I was definitely wrong about you being pathetic.....but you're not bright.....your fragile human body is not going to be able to take much more.....plus you got a decent dose of my poison....." He laughed and took his hand away from his face and stood over you.

"I could....turn you into a demon to save you....that way it would make my sister happy still.....I did want to keep you in good condition for her.....but you just kept on fighting back.....so troublesome....." He groaned.

"Y-you......you underestimate us.....w-we fight you demons with these 'weak' bodies.....d-during the night because you all cower from the sunlight during the day....." You spat out some blood and slowly pulled yourself to your feet, now ignoring the pain in your leg.

"W-we sacrifice so much.....j-just to make sure that we slay every last one of you.....a-and every time.....y-you still assume that you will win.....w-when you have no idea what you're up against....." You clenched your teeth together and took in a sharp breath before practically disappearing from in front of Gyutaro.
