Chapter 41: Entertainment District Infiltration

"Now you four, do not leap off the carriage and run off! There's a lot of people around and we can't lose each other right now! We have to stay assembled so I can brief you all on our mission." Uzui addressed you all.

You nodded and remained seated comfortably alongside Aria. Tanjiro sat idle as well, listening to the sound hashira.

However Inosuke and Zenitsa seemed a little restless.

"So....many lights.....making me dizzy...." Inosuke seemed to be a little dazed, until he shook his head and leapt off the carriage.

"OUT OF THE WAY!!!! I'M COMING THROUGH!!!!!!" He yelled and charged into the crowd of people.

"IDIOT!!! GET BACK HERE!!!!" An exasperated Uzui had to jump off after him.

"Should've seen that coming to be honest. No way Inosuke was staying still." You said while shaking your head.

"At least Zenitsa seems to have settled down a litt-oh nevermind she's gone too...." You groaned when you realised Zenitsa had slipped away too.

"Come on Tanjiro, Aria. Let's go find her." You jumped off the carriage with Aria and Tanjiro in tow, to go and retrieve Zenitsa.

Thankfully she hadn't gotten too far, but she seemed to be distracted.

"You're quite the cute one~....fancy some time alone?~" She had been approached by a man who she obviously had become very quickly attracted to.

She was blushing and holding her face as she stuttered and stumbled over her words.

You stepped in though before this advanced any further. "Nope, she's not going anywhere. Keep your distance from her."

You grabbed her hand and pulled her away, her feet dragging across the ground. Once you had gotten far enough away, you stopped and turned around to scold her.

"You can't just run off like that Zenitsa! And you can't trust people like that! Who knows what he would've done to you!" You weren't happy that she had run off like that, but were relieved that you managed to stop her before anything bad potentially happened.

"I-I know I-I just....th-this place is full of temptation like that....e-everyone here is just so....attractive!" Her blush got worse as you rolled your eyes and tugged her along again.

"At least we found you. Now we've gotta find where Uzui went and if he found Inosuke." You grumbled.

Thankfully, Uzui had found Inosuke when you grouped up with him again.

"Good job on finding the girl. Come on, there's a house just up ahead that we can use." He said, leading you all on until you reached a house and went inside.

You finally had a chance to sit down and relax properly after the long ride here.

"Alright, well here we are! It's about time to tell you all about our mission here." Uzui began before clearing his throat.

"My wife is somewhere in the district and we have to find her." The hashira's opening sentence didn't leave the greatest first impression.

"HUH?! YOU BROUGHT US HERE TO HELP YOU LOOK FOR A WIFE?!?!" You exclaimed in disbelief.

"Now wait a second! You're misunderstanding something here! She was infiltrating the district while looking for a demon that was reported here! Here are her letters that she sent me via the crow!" He threw a large amount of letters at you all.

"Ah right.....yeah that's my bad. Sorry." You awkwardly rubbed the back of your neck as you looked over the large volume of letters.

"Seems like a lot of letters sent from one person though." You stated.
