"Fine. By the end of the night I will choose someone. But, you must accept whoever I choose with no qualms."

The king sighed, clearly relieved to have avoided further argument.

"Very well. You are dismissed."

Aiden stood from his chair, his heart beating faster than usual at the thought of now having to get Sora to attend the ball.

He swiftly left the office, on a mission to get back to Sora before the next class.

Unfortunately, by the time he finally arrived at Mr, Baker's small library it was already just a few minutes before the class starts. The old man was not in the room, however Sora was.

The boy looked up from reading the Ancient Grimoire, a shocked expression spreading onto his face at seeing the Prince.

"Aiden?"

"Hi, I uh.. well I'm sorry I had to leave you earlier, my father was expecting me in his office."

"O-Oh. no, no it's okay I know you're busy."

He shut the book, letting his full attention fall on Aiden.

"S-So, is there something you need? It's probably almost time for class."

"Ah, yes. well.. I have something important to talk to you about."

Sora raised an eyebrow in confusion, his head tilting to the left ever so slightly. Aiden sighed, rubbing a hand through his hair.

"But it's best if we wait until after class. This will probably take awhile to talk about, so I'll just wait until then."

The Prince's heart fluttered as Sora bit his lip in thought, nodding his head gently in acceptance.

He couldn't help but appreciate the sight. Sora brought out feelings in him that he'd never experienced before.

The boy was sat cross legged in the armchair, for the life of him Aiden couldn't comprehend how he could sit comfortably that way. Apparently Sora was very flexible.

"A-Are you okay?"

His cheeks grew hot as he realized he'd been staring. The Prince cleared his throat, nodding in response.

"Yes, sorry. I uh.. w-well I got distracted."

Sora giggled softly, leaning forward a little in the chair.

"I could see that. Uhm, a-am I meeting you in the courtyard today?"

"Yes, please. Do you mind if-"

His sentence was cut short by the old bell springing to life. Sora jumped a little, startled by the obnoxious sound and Aiden felt like groaning in annoyance. He'd hoped they would have more time before class.

"I-I should get going."

"Right, of course. Do you want me to walk you?"

The boy smiled shyly, shaking his head in response.

"It's okay, I'm sure you have other things to do. Besides, i-i don't want to draw attention to myself."

"Ah right, okay. Well I will see you in the courtyard then?"

The boy nodded as he uncurled himself, standing up from the armchair and carrying the old book over to sit it on the teachers desk.

They walked out of the office together, Aiden shutting the heavy door behind them.
