Places.

"You think this is okay?" The nervous boy asked as he followee after Chaewon, fiddling with his hands with his own anxious heartbeats. He could feel the sweat dripping from his neck, the panting that left his lips. He wasn't feeling okay with this, he was overstepping a huge boundary of his.

"You'll grow to love it, I know you, you loved this place back then..don't let what happened stop you from experiencing the feeling of being happy and alive again!" Chaewon whined, pushing the boy forward.

"I-i don't know" he whimpered, looking up at the sign that used to make him all happy. He could smell the scent of coffee and pastries from outside the cafè, and he wasn't going to lie..he was dead nervous.

But it wasn't like Chaewon was going to give up. She was always rebellious, incouraging, and always on the go. She was everywhere at one time..and he was used to be no one nowhere. So it wasn't easy for him to just stop and take a deep breath. But he already knew that as soon as Chaewon has an idea, she will go through with it.

"Come on big boy..get it on yeah, I could really drink an Frappuccino right now" she whined, as she finally managed to push the stubborn boy inside the cafè, causing him to stumbled on his own feet, hitting the glass door with his head. "Oopsie!" She laughed and pushed the door open, pulling the boy inside with her. And Jeongin just silently complainer beneath his breath, head down low to stay as unnoticeable at once.

He wasn't going to expect a lot anymore. For his experience, either people cared, or some couldn't give a less fuck about him anymore. And he preffered the second option. He just wanted to be a complete stranger to everyone again, he didn't like the attention at all, it made him feel the way he did 4 years ago when the two men first took his life away.

Eventually he sighed, and gathered up the courage to take a look around the cafè. And sure enough, it looked almost like it used too. Other than the fact that they switched out the lamps, the stools were different, the menu had some changes too. And the behind counter had some different and more expensive looking machines than before. Surely they have invested quite a lot since hid abduction took place. But it didn't terrify him, actually it calmed down his nerves a little bit.

But sadly his anxiety visited again when an unfamiliar staff member approached from behind the counter, it was a tall, blonde hair dyed male. He features were a bit unique, almost foreign looking. It reminded him of Jane a bit, how she was all up heads in clouds, getting tattoos and piercing, dyeing her hair a different color once in a while. It made him sad knowing he'd never meet her again...all those teenage years has flown out the window, he was an adult now..having to live up to people expectations even more. But he still did nothing, cause he barely realized he has even grown older. His mind was still stuck in his 16 years of age, it wasn't fair. Not to mention that he didn't even notice entering a whole new decade.

He missed out on all those fun and happy moments that he could have experienced, if it wasn't for what happened too him. Even Chaewon looked older, and much more mature than before, sure she still had chubby cheeks, but it came with her essential round face shape. But she just looked..older. sure her attitude stayed the same, but she has moved along the lines of life, meanwhile he was still stuck on one page. Trying to move forward too.

The things he envied so bad made him feel guilty. But he didn't feel that shameful again..he felt a lack of sympathy, but more empathy about certain things now. He believed that of someone got a paper cut, then they shouldn't cry about it, cause if they knew what it took for him to stay alive, they wouldn't drop a single tears on this planet again.

And yes. It was selfish. But who gives a fuck?

Well he did...kind off. Cause he didn't like how he lacked relating to other people, it made him feel cold hearted and mean..and he didn't like to be portrayed that way. But all of this time of being a victim of so much violence and fear, he just couldn't relate to just anyone.

"Hey..Innie you good?" It was only now he managed to snap back to reality, the feeling of himself floating send shivers down his spine. But he brushed it off and smiled at her nodding his head.

"I'm good..just spaced out" he replied shortly, looking at the entrance of the cafè. He wanted to leave..he didn't really feel like he belonged here anymore. Clearly they moved on with their own stuff, he wasn't an employee anymore, he was a customer. He had nothing to achieve anymore, his dreams were left unfinished, he wouldn't ever get that cafè of his, he was far too down the rabbit hole.

They left the cafè shortly after Chaewon received her order. And they went to look around Busan together, to get back all the memories they made together, all those happy moments..they were all just sad now. Nothing but tears spilled each moment, and he had to wipe them away before Chaewon would notice.

He felt all alone, all hidden away, he wasn't comforted and he wasn't happy. He was sad, he had no dreams anymore. What was he supposed to do? Go back to live a normal life? How was that possible? It pained him, it truly did. He wished for nothing but the sweet love certain two people would provide him. He was still walking on that border..but he was falling out of it, out of his own control now.

And he was walking alone. On his own.
