Blanche, Leena and Talia sat in their favorite nail salon that afternoon, getting pampered and polished for a night out on the town. It was owned and ran by her  younger cousin's best friend, Isis Jones.
"So how are we doing our nails this week?" Isis asked Blanche as she begins setting up to paint her nails.
"Mmm, I was thinking of going a bit goth and doing black." She replied as her phone begins to ring. Blanche glances down at the caller ID reading, Grey's name. She sighs disappointingly, before silencing the call. After the other night, Blanche had been avoiding Grey like the plague. She hated to but him on ice, but it was the only way she saw fit to protect her mental. Her feelings were becoming to involved and Blanche wasn't looking for a heartbreak.
"I know nigga drama when I see it. Spill, girl." Isis urged, noticing her shift in energy. Blanche groaned in response.
"No drama. Niggas just need to learn when to take a hint." Blanche declared.
"Indie still blowin' you up?" Leena questioned.
"Girlll." Blanche rolls her eyes, "Like clockwork, but that wasn't Indie."
"What nigga you ducking and dodging now?" Talia butts in, teasing her.
"Don't act brand new, now that you're in a committed relationship. Ducking and dodging is your middle name." Blanche jokes back.
"Gots to grow up sometimes, babes." Talia simply says as her phone begins to ring. "Speaking of my man now...Hey baby." Talia seductively answered Brick's call. Blanche fake gags and Talia flips her off.
"Ya'll are a mess." Isis said, laughing at them.
"You know Blanche and committed relationships don't go in a sentence together." Leena stated. As long as Leena knew her, she has never once seen Blanche committed to only one man. She'd always had a line long of men wrapped around her finger.
"I could do a committed relationship. I just frankly don't see the point in being tied down right now...Why have one when there is a plethora of fine niggas just waiting to be sample?" Blanche replied matter of factly.
Isis laughs, shaking her head, "Girl, I feel that cause look at these two fine ass niggas just walked in." She said, pointing to the door. Blanche turns her head, seeing Grey and Brick. Blanche silently groans, quickly turning back around.
It was easier for Blanche to ignore his presence when they weren't in the same room. She knew she couldn't stand a chance ignore him in person though.
"What's with the face? You know them?" Isis asked.
"That's Talia's new nigga, the one with the dreads." Blanche replied.
"Okayyy I could see that. They cute together...but shit what about the other one?" Isis quizzed, eyeing Grey.
"Ima tell my cousin you checkin' out other niggas." Blanche teases her. Isis had been on and off with her cousin, Javi, for years.
"It's not a crime to look, okay? Plus look at the nigga. You can tell he knows he's fine as hell." Isis replied.
"Mm, he aightt." Blanche dryly states with an eye roll. Shit, he was more that alright and Blanche knew that, but she was trying to convince herself otherwise. Feeling his presence nearing, Blanche tenses up as Grey comes over to Isis station, standing behind her. He leans down, pushing back her hair and whispering in her ear.
"Why you makin' a nigga chase you down?" He asked her as his lips graze her ear, making her nipples harden. It had been over a week since she returned any of his text or calls.
"I've been busy." She dismissively said, trying her hardest to think with her mind and not her lady parts. Grey stares at her for a moment, wondering where her sudden shift in attitude was coming from. In there first couple of interactions, shit was easy and breezy. Which was something, Grey enjoyed about her in the first place. He liked her forwardness and that she knew what she wanted and had no problems of going after it. But like most women after a while there feelings got involved and it was clear Blanche was in hers. Grey rather she just say what's was up instead of avoiding him. Shit, he got used to Blanche being around and was starting to like it.
"Busy with what, ma?" He pressed, seeing how far she was going to take her obviously bullshit lie. He takes a seat in the empty chair next to her, turning her to face him.
"Greyy, stop. Your messing up my nails." Blanche whined, trying to readjust her chair, but he doesn't allow her.
"It's fine girl. I need to take a quick restroom break anyways." Isis said getting up from her chair. As Isis walks towards the back of the salon, she mouths, 'handle that' before disappearing in the back.
"What you been busy with, ma?" He questions again, placing his hands on her bare thighs, gently caressing. It was obvious, she was playing some sort of game so Grey decided to take the bait until she had the balls to say what was really on her mind.
"Things." Blanche snidely retorts, trying to ignore how good his hands felt. Grey chuckles, eyeing her intensely. He slides his hands further up, gripping her upper thighs sending Blanche into overdrive as he feels her trying to tighten her legs. He wickedly smirks at her before removing his hands.
"You like playin' games, I see." Grey states, rubbing his goatee.
"I'm not playin' anything." She snidely retorts.
"Aight ma, keep that same energy. You gon' be begging for me to stick this dick in you soon enough." Grey leans in, whispering the last part in her ear before getting up, leaving her flustered and horny.
