Monday morning ・❥・
9:43 am

After spending the weekend with Grey, Blanche finally was back home. She started her morning with her usual workout and was now on her way to meet up with Leena for a breakfast date at Blu Jam Cafe on Melrose. It was one of her favorite spots, and Blanche had a killer craving for their French toast.
"I'll be back by 2." Blanche tells her dad on her way out.
"Where you headed?" Carter questions making Blanche roll her eyes. Sometimes she hated how much she treated her with kid gloves. She was far from delicate or naive.
"To breakfast with Leena."
"Have Mouse drive you that way I'll know you'll be on time." Carter suggest. She groans in response but decides to just agree. Frankly, Blanche wasn't in the mood to put up a fight. Plus being driven around didn't sound like a bad idea, especially after have her back cracked all weekend and the killer workout she did this morning on top of it. It was safe to say, she was sore as hell.
"Fine." She tells her father, before walking out the door to where Mouse was waiting at the car.

About thirty minutes later, Blanche arrives at the restaurant finding Leena seated at a table with her two year old son, Ryder.
"Hey girl." Blanche greets her placing her purse on the table and taking a seat. She picks up Ryder, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"He's getting so big, Lele." Blanche says, placing him on her knee.
"Girl don't I know it. I'm buying new clothes every two months." She replies.
"Is Rodney helping out?" Blanche questions. Leena smacks her lips in response, waving her hand.
"Fuck no. You know I can't count on that nigga for shit." Leena complains.
"Girl you know I got you. Ryder is my God son." Blanche offers. She felt for her friend and understood what it was like to have a mother turn her back on their child. So Blanche, felt like she needed to be there in anyway she possibly could.
"Thanks girl...So where you been all weekend that you couldn't answer any of my calls?" Leena says, changing the subject. Blanche grins, twirling a strand of hair around her finger becoming giddy. Frankly she couldn't help herself, she was smitten.
"With Grey." She replies, bouncing Ryder on her knee.
"Are y'all dating now then?"
"I wouldn't say all that. I'm honestly just taking my time and feeling the nigga out. You can't ever be to careful. Shit I learned that the hard way last time." Blanche admits, briefly thinking about Indie.
"I mean. was it all that bad though?" Blanche rolls her eyes. She didn't understand why Leena was so keen on taking up for Indie's discretions.
"No, but regardless it wasn't going to last so I had to cut the nigga off."
"Well I think you should at least hear him out." Leena says as Blanche groans. She was tired of talking about Indie and was thankful for the save by the waiter coming over to their table. Blanche and Leena both order the crunchy french toast with a side of grilled potatoes with fresh parsley, chicken sausage and scrambled eggs.
Blanche's phone vibrates in her pocket and she pulls it out, seeing Grey's name pop up on her screen.

Grey: Ay, don't let this get to your big ass head, but a nigga misses you ma.

She smiles to herself, feeling her chest tighten with warmth. The blissful essence of new relationships were always the most exciting moments of any relationship. Blanche was hoping they wouldn't become a fleeting moment.

Blanche: Of course you do.
Grey: It's cool, B. I know you miss a nigga too.

Feeling a familiar energy, Blanche glances up seeing Indie and Press enter the restaurant.
"You told him we were here?" Blanche says to Leena, becoming agitated, placing Ryder back in the high chair.
"He just wants to talk." Leena responds trying to reason with her as Blanche glares back at her. Frankly she couldn't believe Leena set her up like this. Blanche was now starting to question her motives.
"What's up?" Press says first taking the seat next to Leena. Indie stares at Blanche for a moment before speaking, "Can I sit?"
"It's a free country." Blanche sarcastically replies.
"How you been?" Indie quizzes, trying to soften her up. Instead, she rolls her eyes ignoring him as another text for Grey appears on her screen,

Grey: Clear your schedule for Saturday.
Blanche: For you, I'll clear my whole weekend.
Grey: That's more like it, ma.

Seeing her smile at her phone agitating Indie, but he tries to remain calm. He wondered who she was texting and if it was the nigga from the other night.
"Can I talk to you outside?" Indie tries again. Blanche blows her breath, annoyed with his act. She knew the real Indie and the nigga in front of her pretending to be calm was not him.
"I'm going to the restroom." Blanche says to Leena stepping away from the table, going towards the back of the restaurant. Entering the restroom, Blanche texts Mouse to bring the car around. She refused to let herself to be tricked into conversing with Indie and planned on making an exit immediately.
In her eyes, it was pointless for them to discuss anything. There was no chance in hell Blanche would ever involve herself with Indie again and personally she felt no reason to give him any sense of hope she would. So why waste her breath?
After emptying her bladder, Blanche washes her hands, then exits the restroom only to be bombarded with Indie standing right outside the door.
"You really don't know when to take a hint." She exasperatedly says, attempting to walk past him, but he grabs ahold of her arm.
"Oh, you've really lost your fucking mind." She sneers, pulling herself out of his hold, "Don't do something you'll regret, Indie." Blanche says before walking out of the restaurant with Indie on hot on her trail.
"You have fun on your date the other day?" Indie skeptically question, entering her personal space.
"What are you talking about?" She replies, confused placing space between them.
"Where were you Sunday, Blanche? You ain't gon be happy til' a nigga ends up 6 feet deep."
"You're fucking delusional, my nigga. You have a whole fucking wife." She replies as her eyes narrow in slits at the realization of him referring to the day she and Grey spent together. Which made her feel very uneasy with Indie having eyes on her, without her knowing. Mouse pulls up in front of the restaurant at that exact moment.
"I'll let you have your moment and be angry, cause I fucked up, but don't forget you belong to me."
Blanche scoffs, rolling her eyes.
"And who do you belong to? Your wife or me?"
"Fuck all that, B. You know I love you." Blanche laughs, staring at Indie like he was crazy.
"Indie, you don't know what love is and frankly, the type of love you're offering, will never be good enough." She says before opening the car door. Indie scoffs, massing his chins hairs.
"You can't love a dead nigga." He wickedly threatened and Blanche rolled her eyes, ignoring his threats and leaving him standing there.
